So, it's days before Christmas and all your shopping is done (right). Anybody else taking advantage of the season to acquire a little something special for themselves? Two years ago I purchased a caliber conversion barrel for my Glock and dropped it in my own stocking when nobody was looking. Great fun acting all surprised and thankful with my family all wondering who my benefactor was (of course, they threw things at me when I finally 'fessed up). :D

My little something this season is a second-hand Taurus 445 .44 spl snubby ... just for fun. It's not going under the tree, but it will go to the range on one of our holiday range trips.

So what is "Santa" bringing you?

Oh, and Merry Christmas, everyone!

I purchased my self a nice little concealment holster for my Makarov(don humes leather holster).

I blew through all my xtra spending money on guns erlier in the year.

Comp-Tac Standard Clips. Not a treat, more of a staple. Had to have them because one of the prior ones broke.

I've never tried them before, but I gotta say, they blew me away. These things are lightyears better than any other kydex clip I've ever tried.

Now I need to find a good pair of tennis shoes.

I always get asked what i want for Christmas as my family knows im very involved in what ever hobby im into at the time. Its been guns the last 2-3 years, So again i said "Just cash" so i can add my own money too it and buy a (Christmas gun).

About 4-5 weeks ago i went into my LGS and traded 2 gun in on a new Officers 1911, Then i found out they wont give cash back on gun trades if they end up owing you and just give store credit. Wasnt a darned thing i needed there so i asked them about ordering my (Christmas gun) with my left over $100 as a deposit.

3 weeks ago i go back in just to see if they could even get the gun as i ordered a Kahr MK9 which isnt a very high demand gun and not always the easiest to find.
But low and behold they had it and put it on the counter as soon as i walked into the store. I knew right then i wasn't walking out without that gun.
In the back of my head i had already put my XD SC 40 in its case and in my trunk in case i found something i wanted that day.
So after my deposit,XD trade in and a wad of cash from my Visa card my (Christmas gun) came home 3 weeks ago.

Here is where i screwed up, My family has since asked me if i wanted cash for Christmas still for the gun i planned. I told them i couldn't help it and bought it already and im not able to justify buying any more guns as i wont buy one unless i have a need for one.

So i really put myself into a corner as i cant ask for cash as i have nothing i need, And i was honest with them. So i guess ill be getting socks and underwear instead of a new gun, But oh well its the thought that counts.

I broke down and ordered a new Taurus PT709 Slim to try out as a new carry weapon for next year.

You're gonna need some ammo to feed that puppy! Why not ask for that?
:D

I'm not sure how it happened. I went out Christmas shopping and a handful of pmags and a magpul light rail for my moe handguards found their way into my bags. I blame the LGS for having such a tempting display of AR stuff. They should be ashamed of themselves...

My in laws are coming after Christmas and not sure what he is bringing. I know both the Judge and Circuit Judge are coming but if he has the need for an actual rifle I had to have a loaner available. So I got a Stevens 200 in .243, should be here in the next day or so.

DasFriek, you are going to need ammo ...
WadeWilson, good move. I put off reloading far too long. It's addictive!

Hearing Santa's reindeer inspired me to gift myself a rifled slug barrel for my shotgun.
What? You got something against reindeer? :D

If that is a new SA Mil Spec (not GI) NIB that is crazy! If it's used it's still good depending in the condition. (If it's a used GI it's not bad either.) I bought myself a Sig556 Classic with red-dot and rotary sight for Christamas back in November. I got a good deal
on it but it was still expensive. Since then I have bought gotta for everyone else and had some unexpected expenses. So, it will be awhile before any new guns are purchased by me. Ammo and magazines are always could to get for Christmas.

SO,, how come there isn't any pix of these things you lucky guys are gettin???????

especially you legionnaire,,soon as i read 44spec,, well i had to wipe off the keyboard,,,or is that the intention here,,,to gloat????:D

Merry Christmas guys and gals

Good deal. Is it the GI (previously called the Mil Spec) or the curreent Mil Spec with the better sights? Either way nice job.

Like Chevyman097, I treated most of 2010 like my own personal "handgun Christmas." Time for me to return to reality and put on the brakes for a bit. At least til income tax time comes around....maybe that Colt Agent will look even better to me by then. Or even a couple of less expensive compacts would be better. Getting kind of low on ammo so who knows, it may be the time to stock up again.

I didn't get anything for myself, but wifey was nice enough to get me a GSG 522, which I picked up yesterday.:D

My lil' Honey let me drag home a sad looking Remington Model #33 .22 rifle about a month ago { a little early I know}. Well, spending a lot of time on the bench cleaning it up, refinishing the stock, lots of hand rubbing the finish, and cold bluing the parts, it now has become a lot more appealing little rifle. Some simple items like these, give me more satisfaction than a newer one, not that I wouldn't want a new one, but I won't buck Santa this year. Merry Christmas!
