Just purchased a Spikes AR 15 carbine with a mid length gas system, end cap is triangular, not round, is there any way to put a quad rail on without removing gas block/A 2 sight post and replacing the end cap? Current hand guard is the round L.E. type.:banghead:

You could cut it off or trim it. I believe most mid length builds come with a rifle cap instead of a carbine cap.

Daniel Defense, Troy industries, Yankee Hill Machine and Midwest Industries have midlength, 2 piece, drop in quad rails.

I put the UTG mid-length quad rail on mine. I was impressed with the quality to price ratio. Be aware that a machined aluminum alloy quad rail is going to add a considerable amount of weight to your mid-length rifle.

I have a BCM midlength with a triangular end cap and a Daniel Defense midlength with a round end cap. The same MOE handguard fits both so I'm sure most two piece drop on rails would also fit.

I have noticed this isn't always true of all plastic handguards but it is with the MOE so it can be done. Magpul didn't want to make two versions of the 9" MOE and I doubt makers of aftermarket rails would want two versions either.

Thanks guys, being new to the AR platform i was not aware most mid lengths come with a triangular hand guard end cap, now just have to chose one.
