sappnasty, perhaps you missed the part where I own a C15?
none of my guns are perfect. Every one of them has room for improvement.

Mags said nobody was bashing them and he's right. I was very careful to state twice that they used to be bad and may be better now. My guess is our disagreement is less about firearm quality and more about reading comprehension.

WOWWWWW..... now we are insulting other members of the forum...... and as far as it goes this was mil spec vs non mil spec and I got the following quotes directly from you

I say that because a few years ago, they had a reputation for being complete crap (and I certainly still have that opinion of them)

and

I don't know anyone who bought one recently. (I would have tried to talk them out of it, if I did)

Here is my entire point...If a user posts a thread to ask a question for help, like Tmilburn did, answer his question if you have an answer...dont give your opinion that is totally unrelated to the thread??? I mean really? I'm with Tmilburn on this one sorry...I get tire of the same thing all time.

Neither of those quotes are personal attacks.
This is a personal attack:
You maybe be rich living high on the hill, but not all of us can be ballers and own only the "best of the best"...if you want to traash talk someone's firearms, then start a thread titled "Hi, I'm talviv and I want to trash talk all of your guns...oh by the way, everything I own is perfect"

You whine about negative people and then attack Taliv for giving you his real world view on something based on his own personal experience with the firearm in question? Really? Taliv simply and repeatedly stated, so as to be more than clear, that his experience has been lees than stellar with the older model of the weapon. How is that not relevant? If there may be issues with my weapon I sure as heck want to hear about them.

I have read this thing from top to bottom. Taliv did not other than post his experience and lessons learned from owning and actually shooting this firearm. And that some how makes him the bad guy...

Telviv: "I say that because a few years ago, they had a reputation for being complete crap and I certainly still have that opinion of them"

Wow, so that statement isn't bashing? Maybe you should also read the entire post from top to bottom as you say you have. Tony, but I'm sorry...it's loose loose here.

I dont think thats a personal attack Gus McCrae I think it is stating exactly what he does and how he acts on this thread and others that I have been on. Also I think someone else may have a comprehension problem after posting comments such as he did downing the c-15 and its quality and then saying that he has one himself...... hmmmmmm

Gus...bashing is bashing...even If I owned a rifle for 20 years and shot it a millions times...then trash talk it, it is bashing. The point of the post wasn't for "opinions" it was for usable information to help the OP. Explain to me how calling a gun crap has to do with the OP's original thread? exactly....quit trying to argue a dead end point.

Well, low post count folks coming into the forum and asking questions is a good thing. Much to learn here.

On the other hand a person who's contributed much over the last many years and who actually owns certain types of firearms, who provides an opinion is not necessarily bashing anything. Opinions about firearms, or anything for that matter, in which the party has experience allows a wide range of language when offering the opinion.

I read the entire thread and the attack on Taliv is uncalled for. He offered considered opinion because of ownership, his own use and familiarity with the firearm by some of his friends who own the gun. Further, if your gonna dump on a guy, spell his name properly and incidentally, the correct spelling of lose is lose, not loose. (Is that personal enough for ya!)

No one made an "attack" on TALIV (spelled correctly just for you), we were just pointing out that the topic was not about what he thinks about a gun...it was about mil-spec vs. non-milspec...the user wanted to know if mil-spec parts are interchangeable on his non-milspec rifle. As far as attacks, I would have to say your the first person to personally insult anyone on this thread...not even TALIV went that far. Just shows your true color...Not a big deal though....Oh hey Grampster, out of all the guns you own which one do you like the best?

Enough.

I just asked a question about mil-spec vs. non-mil-spec, and with the help of a few of the posts on here I think I got it figured out.

Guess we should have killed this one off there.

Or maybe there's valuable information shared in later posts that will help someone.

Caveat Lector.
