How do Millet scopes compare to Leupold, Nikon, etc? I have never seen one in stores but I hear they are good.

Crap.

I've had two Millets (LRS and Tactical), neither were as good as any Leopold or Nikon that I've used. To me a Millet is a good cheap entry level scope for a beginner that wants to shoot paper. The specific problems I've seen were fuzzy image at the edges and poor mechanical tracking of the adjustment knobs.

It seems like Bushnell has let millett fall to their OPP place. They used to be a decent choice 10 +/- years ago....but recent reviews over the past couple years have not been the greatest.

Don't get me wrong, I think that Millet scopes are a good value for the dollar but they are simply not a high quality scope. I used the LRS for about 5 years on a long range rifle until I could afford a nice Vortex HD, but you'd expect there to be a big difference between an entry level scope and one that cost 3 - 4 times as much.
