Sam 1911,
You are correct, they're considered AOW. My reason to to mod it for the verticle front hand grip, put a slant muzzle brake on it would be to have it ready if things went downhill really fast and you needed a decent CQE weapon. After the mods I would put it back in it original configuration, no reason to press your luck unless you take the legal route. Do have to admit that, it would be inexpensive to make the mods and it would take probably less than 5 minutes to switch out if 922r laws were out the window. With the way things are progressing in the USA, we soon won't have funds to monitor squat! IMO! I'm sure most of us have thought about these worse case scenarios. Like I said, an underfolderer would be more practical and only marginally longer. Probably most of us have enough practical special function weapons anyway. Still even in it's original configuration, the Draco would work great if you need a small tactical weapon, that could be hidden under a coat with one point shoulder sling.
