Missouri bullet company ...

I think we’re headed back to some really hard economic times and this is just the beginning of the end for small businesses in the firearm industry marketplace.

As a small businessman meself, I can tell you the hard times are here already. Unfortunately, the hard times now are not nearly as hard as the times are fixing to get... and small business has a giant bullseye on it.

I wish I needed some bullets right now, I wish I had the money to buy some bullets right now.

I don't really need any bullets right now. but they are a great company that makes very good bullets. so I guess I'll be looking over the inventory to see what I should stock up on.

Might just be time for a truly massive order so I wan weather the next decade or so like I did back in 08. I've got some money in the toy fund. and it's not like a bullet is going to go bad....

Oh crap, they are local to me, just a few miles down the road. I need to swing by. The only thing I get from them are bullets for the 45-70, and I really don't "need" any. I do need to buy some....hope he can keep going.

Got the nickel tour a few years ago, interesting operation.

Rem, if you get by there, please let us know whats happening with them. Thank you.

I use to buy my brass there , but they must have a hard time getting it now , they don’t have much in stock . It sounds like a hard business to be in now . With all the shortages , my enthusiasm sure has dwindled .

Didn’t the original owners or owner die a couple of years ago ? Seems like I read that here .

FYI a promo code EXCLUSIVE to THR...

THR-Original

If you guys order because of this thread I'm sure they'll figure it out if U use the code. FYI its 5% off :thumbup::thumbup:

Seems to be feast or famine for the small bullet business. I did order a thousand bullets this fall but Missouri is not the company I order from. When one is short of primers and powder there is not a lot of demand for bullets.

MBC has good products and I wish them well.
I have not ordered from them in a long time because I can get pulled jacketed bullets for the same or less money.

I think what's happening, is the same as happened in other shortages. People bought LARGE quantities of stuff, now there is a demand lag. I got very deep in bullets, including MBC as that was all I could buy for a while so why not? Bullets are easy to get, so people are shooting down their stocks instead of replacing/adding to inventory. I'm doing this. I'm sure many reading this thread are doing this. I hope they put away enough from the good times to weather the lag. They are a fine company with fine products. I have ordered from them in the past, and will do so in the future God willing.

Yep! That's what I did. They made good stuff!
I have regularly ordered from MBC in the past. Did not know Jo Anne had passed but did know of her husband's death.
I still have 2,000 (just checked my inventory) of MBC's 200 gr Bullseye #1. I always match the number of bullets to primers on hand and since the price of primers has sky rocketed I have put off buying projectiles. Of course the volume of my shooting has decreased in order to out wait the shortages.

Let us know what you find out

If this is true, it is very sad indeed.Kind of hard to believe??

I bought many bullets from Brad and Jo Ann when the first started the business.
My first order was in 2009!
Their reputation was so good the had to expand and buy more machines and hire more people! Used to get bullets 2-3 days after ordering, They worked so hard, perhaps to hard

MBC was their retirement. Brad was a psych and statistics maror and Jo Ann I believe was a computer person.

Brad passed away and not to long after so did Jo Ann. Both were only in the 60's

From one or two machines, tho THIS!!

They do make good bullets at really good prices. I'm still working through the 2,000 45 ACP bullets I bought from them a few years ago.

I generally call and then pick up there. If I make it before the snow storm tomorrow I will fill you all in.
I'd like to hear it straight from the horses mouth as well. As much as I want them to be doing well, I'd hate to hear I passed along an untrue sob story intended to drum up sales.

I do like to see the number of folks saying they placed an order.
