Model 19-7

I have an offer on trade for a S&W 19-7. This is pre MIM, with firing pin on the hammer but should have the Uncle Mike's grips according to the Standard Catalog. Is there a great difference in this model verses an earlier model? Haven't gotten a pic yet, but am told it is 98-99%. Any opinions on the dash 7?

Just located the discussion on this model in bikemutts thread. Guess this may be a transitional gun, too.
