I just purchased my first Glock, a M27 w/night sights. I like everything about it except that #@&$ squared off front trigger guard. It's a feature that I hate enough that I've never bought a Glock before because of it. It seems like it would be a simple enough matter to take a dremel to it and round it off like a proper trigger guard should be. Is it really that easy, or is there something I'm missing? Has anybody else had success with this modification?

Dremel tool, wood rasp, coarse file... it is an easy fix. All it takes is some care and some confidence. I undercut the woefully undersized beavertail on all my Glocks with a Dremel tool with the sanding drum attachment.

I have a robar-ed G30 with a rounded trigger guard and it looks stupid to me. I prefer the stock one. But I don't use the front of the trigger guard for anything so it's purely aesthetic.

In my experience with cutting plastic, using a high-speed cutter tends to melt its way through the plastic, leaving "feathers" and burrs clinging to the edge. I would use something like a coarse file if all you want to do is round off the corner.
