Question: Reloading for a .30 Carbine

I came across a good deal on moly coated 115 gr hard cast lead carbine bullets. I do not shoot cast lead in rifles as a general rule but have no problem with them in handgun ammo under 1200-1300fps. I've never used moly coated bullets, but read everywhere that they're great.

I especially don't shoot cast out of the carbine for fear of blocking/fouling the gas port with hot lead shavings. I was told moly was not a problem but now I hear that even copper plated lead should not be used in carbines because of flaking off particles and plaques of copper plate...

I don't have a Ruger .30 carbine or an Automag III (does anyone want to sell me one?? :) ) to burn them up in and I don't want to waste those 1500 moly coated bullets I proudly bought by not using them.....

Any advice? Anyone with PRACTICAL moly experience (not the hyperbole!!) Thanks
