I have a Mossberg 500 16ga. w/C-Lect Choke. It is 40 years old and I bought it brand new. This gun is an absolute sweetheart to shoot. I have used it for deer, turkey, pheasant, rabbits, ducks, geese and just about any other game I choose to hunt. With great success, I might add. The thing I liked most about the Mossberg was the placement of the safety. It is in such a natural position on top of the grip behind the receiver. Just a push of the thumb and presto it's off! Fastest safety in the industry.
Anyway. My question is and please, don't laugh! Has anyone ever heard of a slug barrel for the 500 in 16ga.? I've been looking at local gun shows but to no avail. I really haven't been trying really hard until now. Although the shotgun is retired, I would still like to find a slug barrel for it, if Mossberg even made one in 16ga.
Has anyone out there ever heard of such a thing? Any help anyone? Thanks.
