Mossberg 835 Jamming

Hello,

I have a Mossberg 835 that has been jamming.

If there is more than one shell in the magazine, the mechanism that is supposed to only dispense one shell from the magazine malfunctions, and allows the second shell to enter the chamber. This causes the gun to jam, and I am unable to chamber any more shells.

If there is only one shell in the magazine, it works flawlessly. Any ideas on what could be causing this? I have a second 835 that I can pull parts from.

Replace the shell stop.

Repace the magazine spring and remove and clean the shell stops . I have a 500 mossberg did the same thing the mag spring does'nt hold the next shell against the stop and it just slides right past tying the gun up .
