Hello Everyone,
This weekend my father decided he would surprise my wife and I with a house warming present (its our first house) with a Mossberg 930 tactical shotgun not the SPX, but the 85330 model the "non-spx" tactical version (http://www.mossberg.com/images/Mossberg_Guns/930/NEW/85330.jpg.

Needless to say I was so excited what a great gift. When I sat down to read the manual (yes I am a dork) it stated it carries 5 total (2 3/4in) 4 in the tube one in the barrel. Sure enough when I loaded the gun and it indeed only caries 5 shots total. I was under the impression from my online reading and the mossburg website the capacity is 5 +1. Am I missing anything here? The model number on the box states 85330. Did I get an older version? Also provided this if i get the Choate 7rd 930 tube extension will I end up with 6+1, instead of 7+1, confused.:banghead: Am I doomed to only 6 in the tube before the extension tubes stick beyond the barrel? Thanks for the help,
Mike

The 930 is a 4+1 shotgun. If Mossberg put 5+1 capacity on their website it is a mistake.

If you install a Choate tube that is even with the muzzle the total will be 7+1 capacity.

Choate makes the tube ext that Mossberg puts on their 930 SPX.

The 930 you have has a breacher muzzle brake barrel. The tube ext will get a little dirty from the gas ports but their should be no problems. Some put a shorter +1 or +2 tube ext on the tactical model. Choate will make one special for you for a few extra bucks and some wait time.
