Most accurate milsurp bolt action rifle?

I've got two M39's who, after some sanding and shimming shoot very nicely... However, they still do not touch my k31's. The only work I did on my K31's to sort them out was to chamber a round and pull the trigger.:D The rest took care of itself.

I own many milsurps, but the swiss was the first one that caused me to say D@#@! outloud after looking though my spotting scope. Great rifle.

Most accurate milsurp

I would have to say that of the milsurps that I personally own, it would look like this
1. K-31 (7.5x55 swiss)
2.M96 Swedish mauser (6.5x55 swedish)
3.91/30 mosin-nagant (7.62x54R)
4.M44 mosin-nagant (7.62x54R)
The swede and the swiss are about dead even, but I had to put them in some order.

I will start a real hooorah here. I own or have owned: 2 '03a3's, 2 1917's, 3 Krag's (2 carbines and 1 rifle), a couple of SMLE's (don't remember the designations) several 98 and one 93 mauser, a swede mauser, 2 type 38 Japs (1 carbine and 1 rifle), a Mosin-Nagant rifle, and a French MAS 36.

All except one of the Krag carbines were in original as issued and better than 90 percent condition. Off the bench, most would shoot better than 3" groups at 100 yards, except for the SMLE's. On a good day they might group 4 inches, but it had to be a good day.

The scary thing (and NO, I can't believe I'm telling you this!) was the French MAS. It was clunky and weird and FROM FRANCE for cripes sake....and it routinely shot 1 to 1.5 inch groups all day long.

No matter what ammo, no matter who was in the White House, it was the most accurate MILSURP bolt gun I have ever owned, and it was not in nearly as good a shape as most of the others.

Almost was enough to make me vote for Clinton!!!

Almost forgot bout my Swiss 1911 long rifle.......... ain't shot it in a couple years but THAT was a sub MOA rifle any day of the week......... man I'm gonna have to get it out and go let the ol gal stretch her legs for a bit forgot all bout it till was sittin here tryin to remember what it was that used to easily outshoot my K-31s then it came to me, I paid $50 for the old girl some years back all matching non import marked bought it at a retirement community sale ya know where all the retired folks clear out their storage units in a lil community where ya just walk from one sale to the next at each yard...... I find alota nice old guns that way ......... this one is P marked as it was given to the soldier when he retired..... No need to look him up as he was the man I handed the $50 to :D

My Savage No.4 MkI (with random, unknown milsurp .303 amm) is just as accurate (if not a little more so) than my k-31 (with GP-11)...yeah, it surprised the heck outta ME, too! :)

I have an Enfield No 4 Mk 1/3 made by Savage that has a very nice trigger and is scary accurate. Under an inch at a 100 yards when I do my part. I shot it in a few matches out to 1000 yards in a couple DCM rifle matches and a lot of the other shooters were impressed. The .303 really started to perform when I started reloading for it. Some of the surplus ammo I've shot was grouping around 3 inches at 100 yards and some of it was click-boom.

I know you all are talking iron sights but I have an 03A3 and Swiss 96 both have shot 1/2" groups at 200 yards. mine are sportized with scopes.
