I like that it ends with a lady protecting herself.

Mountain Dew is more fair and balanced than the main stream media :neener:

Guy: If you outlaw yo-yos - only outlaws will have yo-yos.
Girl: Please... Please... Please. Not this again. Yo-yos are never the answer!

I like how they show that an elderly store lady with proper training can defend herself because of the yo-yo. Without the yo-yo she would be helpless to defend herself from the assailant.

I can't believe you guys. Don't you know that if a woman carries a yo-yo it will just be used againt her. :neener:

Maybe we have a friendly within the ranks of Mountain Dew's advertisement division? He could have slipped this past the higher ups quite easily knowing all of us gun owners would get the message.

OMG! What next?! First we have "deadly assault vegetation" (roses), the last week it was a "deadly assault bicycle" (NY) and now we have "deadly assault yo-yos"! The Liberals will have a field day!! :neener:

:D This is an example of - someone - that has a better perception of reality than most "anti"s. :D

LOVE IT! :D

That's really good!

I just saw the commercial, looked for it on Youtube, and searched for it here before I started a thread about it. I'm not really surprised that I was beat to the punch.

I may start drinking Dew just because of this commercial.

Excellent.

Yo-Yo control: Because it is morally better for a woman to get raped than stand over her attacker with a smoking yo-yo.

Great post, especially...

Great post! Hilarious commercial.

I especially liked learning that Yo-Yo's were invented as personal defense weapons.

If only someone can find out why Twinkies were invented?:neener:

Oh, that's genius. That's actually, true, too! YOYOs were invented as weapons. By definition, they still are. The same way those youth shotguns or .22 squirrel guns are for children. I am astonished I never thought of that. That completely blows away the anti argument of "guns aren't cars--they were made to kill."

Get a proficient yoyo-er I'm sure they still can be lethal (think David vs. goliath). That's how they were originally designed. For hunting and as a weapon.

I had seen the ad on TV, and then looked at the link above, and thought something was different. I saw the TV ad again and it struck me: On the TV ad, they cut out the part of the couple at the ATM where the crook hits him with the yoyo even after he complies and turns over the money.

I saw the ad on TV in my area recently, but it wasn't the full-length sixty second version linked to in this thread. It was chopped down to 30 seconds.
