My brother is a mall ninja

And this thread turns serious

I hate to say it, but maybe your brother has some sort of mental illness.

Sounds to me like he lives in a fantasy world that may get him some prison time or possibly killed.

Or maybe he is just another video game playing loser that has no life and has to embellish or outright lie when having conversations about himself because there is nothing positive and contributory about his existence on this planet.

Still, that needs attention from a mental health counselor as well.

I could continue on about what is wrong with you brother, but it gets pretty low from here on out.

I am supposed to take the high road here so I will say no more.
If you do a search I posted about my brother before. He is legal to have a gun but only barely he floats in the grey area of legality. Yes I started this thread half out of hummor and half out of sheer anguish. He tries to act like the tough guy but I have told him one day he will have to follow up on the tough guy thing. if you find the other thread on him it migh shed some more light. I think it is sad and I have tried to help but lately I try to distance myself from him. Personaly its a matter of time before he really screws up and something really bad happens. I have done everything I can legaly. He refuses to take his medication or see his doc any more and he is level for now but headed down hill really fast at first. just sad really.

So my initial internet mental health diagnosis was correct...

And I feel bad for you and you parents because one of two things is going to happen...

He will be forced to get help and walk the line...

Or die tragically...(after possibly murdering you and/or them...or anyone else for that matter)

In public or prison (homes for the insane are still prisons...the key word is incarceration).

It is time for you to seek real help in keeping a potential murderer off the streets.

He may be your brother and you would hate to see him locked up, but it may be for everyone's good that that happens. Including his own good.

Do you want a live incarcerated brother who is being cared for or a very bad news story at some point?

If you truly love guns and other gun owners you will get your brother the help he needs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Speaking strictly as the eldest in my family (I am currently 51 y.o.) and as a loving older brother...

I would take him out and whup his butt. Seriously.
And I haven't whupped anyone's butt for about 30 years.
But family sometimes calls for different measures.

Flame suit on, and good luck.

Flame suit on, and good luck
no flame suit required. personal opinions are welcome but that one really didnt work, now he knows some laws and will likely press assault charges for doing such.

Eric F-

It may suck- But remember he IS family. Blood IS thicker than water.

Good luck with your situation, sir.

now he knows some laws

But does he know morality and that he is dangerous to himself and others with kind of behavior?

You mentioned that he is refusing to take his prescribed mental health medication and has been locked before for violence issues.

Get off your ass and take care of your brother before he takes care of himself in a way that shames you forever...

Imagine this tag line..."Hey didn't your brother shoot up....?"

Time to face facts. Get him real help or be another news story that hurts gun owners. And your family.

How would you like to imagine that mommy has to tell your daughter about the good daddy she had, but he was such a puss that he wouldn't have his dangerous bro locked up and that cost him his life? And grandma and grandpa's life too?

How about he just kills her and you have to live with that regret to eat at your soul until you die?

Time to use that "college educated" brain for real now.

Blood IS thicker than water

That is only true to a certain point. I have an uncle and a cousin that my father and I have both had to completely disown because of their actions. My Dad and I are both in law enforcement, he is a retired sheriff and I'm a corrections officer. My uncle and his son are now both multiple felons and my cousin is severely mentally ill. Early on in the progression of my cousins illness we attempted to help him by making sure his scrips were filled and making sure he made it to his psych appointments. But it was all for naught as he now completely refuses to take any meds for his issues. He now seeks solace through heavy use of street drugs and comitting violent crimes, usually against his girlfriend. His dad, my uncle, is now doing a 98 month bid in state pen for manufacture and trafficking of meth and my cousin is currently locked up in my county jail for possesion and sale of meth and multiple domestic violence charges. Neither my father nor I have had any contact with either of them, other than professionally, for several years now.

Do all you can for brother while there is still something that can be done. If his mental issues are allowed to continue unchecked nothing but heartache awaits your whole family. At the same time be aware that the time may come when you will have done all you can and he simply refuses all help. God forbid that day ever comes.

I think I seen this guy!!!:what: Does he drive an ex police crown vic? Listen man, some folks are just that way. He has to make up a great story about what he does to make him feel like he is special. Maturity comes hard for some. He is still your family, so just keep the tape recorder handy and running.:D:D:D:D

You guys that deride the Secret Force for all the undercover assistance they provide to the police, you don't know. There's a reason this stuff doesn't make the news. You ever read "Clear and Present Danger?" Yeah, it's on the down low. It's gotta be like that. See these Secret Force guys can do things that the cops can't, legally, see. Little problems with the Constitution when the badges step over the line, so they cut us, I mean them, a break. And the Secret Force does the real dirty work, blood sweat and tears, you know what I'm sayin'? So what if some of the guys act a little edgy? Guy probably earned that attitude, besides it's all part of the plan to appear a little unstable, all part of the disguise, all part of the plan, man. Well, I've said enough. I know I can trust you guys, heck you think you're all so smart, but we know the truth, you guys will never be a part of the real inner circle. So keep on treading water while the Secret Force shadows keep cleaning. Gotta go now. Bicycle!

hopelessjoe: I find your last post disturbing to say the least. We(my whole local family) have tried to get him the help he needs but there is little leagal action we can take on this. YOU CAN LEAD A HORSE TO WATER but you cant make him drink. I guess I could hit him in the head with a hammer duct tape him and roll him in carpet and take him somewhere.

How would you like to imagine that mommy has to tell your daughter about the good daddy she had, but he was such a puss that he wouldn't have his dangerous bro locked up and that cost him his life? And grandma and grandpa's life too?
Ok first off what am I going to have him locked up for? He has evaded jail by the good grace of the great court system we have. Second dont think mommy would ever call me a puss. She has watched me do incredible feats risking my life with no concern of my safety to help others. will be more than happy to pm you or any one else on that if you want.

How about he just kills her and you have to live with that regret to eat at your soul until you die?

ok I've had enough now thats just uncalled for. Your response is not perportionate to whats being talked about here. Seems emotionaly charged for no aparent reason. take a break for a while.

thats one of the funniest stories i've heard in a while.

It can't be helped though, maybe you could beat some sense into him, or just let it run its course. My cousin was turning into a mall ninja for a while, but he finally came to his sense.

I hope your brother does too.
