My first Curio & Relic FFL purchased rifles.

A Yugoslav M59/66 SKS.
If I understand the codes right, the gun was made in 1979.

It came coated with cosmoline, but with a little but of elbow grease, pine sol, and lemon oil on the stock, it cleaned up quite nicely.

Not bad for $109 shipped to my door from AIM. :)

Next is a Russian M38 Mosin Nagant Carbine.
This gun was made at Izhevsk in 1944.

All numbers match.
This was a steal at $79 shipped from Aztec. :)

Starting tomorrow, I'm on vacation for 2 weeks.
I've got 500 rounds of SKS ammo and 100 rounds of Mosin ammo.

It should be a blast.

Congratulations on your purchases. That's a fine looking SKs for $109. I too have had very good dealings with AIM.

I have an AIM SKS still sitting in cosmo. I thought about a M38, but I'm still thinking. I'd like to get one w/o the M44 stock like in the picture above.

I am going to pull my Christmas present out of layaway today. It is a M-38 Mosin-Nagant. At $79.99 I couldn't resist. Minimal cosmoline too. The lack of a bayonet makes it a perfect bumming-around-rifle.

Preparing the C&R paperwork to send to Big Brother.

I don't think Santa (aka my wonderful Wife) realizes just exactly what she is getting me into.

Down the slippery slope....................................

AIM just dropped the price on 91/30s & M38s to $60 + shipping. If I wasn't already out in the doghouse I would be getting a few :D .

Nice choices! My SKS and Mosin Carbines are my favorite shooters for many reasons, not the least of which is the ammo is so cheap.

It's pretty cool to be able to "plink" with a full power rifle for cheaper that it costs to shoot 9mm through my CZ-75. :)
