A little background on the goodies my wife has given me. Birthday a Freedom Arms 454. Another birthday an STI Trojan 9mm. As the 2016 elections loomed & it appeared Hildabeast was going to win, she says best you go get another AR. I picked up a CORE M4 piston. After Trump won, I told her I should probably sell the CORE, because the good guys won. She says do you like it? I say of course. And she says then keep it.

So this week is our wedding anniversary. I'm hard to buy for, so she says go get yourself a gun. With nothing hot on my "want" list, I start just pecking around. On Armslist, I find a STI Electra in 9mm, and the seller is local. And yea, I know the Elektra is supposed to be a chick gun, but this one was black & I just like them. So I'm ready to meet up with the seller & he sends an email, that a previous possible buyer that has fallen off the radar has contacted him & likely still wants the gun. He feels the right thing to do is honor the earlier agreement. CRAP. So I tell him I understand, but to contact me if things fall through ( not likely ). Now I have to find something else. What a problem to have...right? So I hit a few local gun shops & pawn shops, hoping something will smile at me. And something did. I find a NIB Sig Sauer STX at the best price I've ever come across. But I didn't buy it, on the outside chance the STI still might be mine. Go home & tell DW about the SIG. She says if it's such a good price, I should buy it, or I'd be sorry. I tell her, what if I buy it and the STI becomes available? And she comes back with, "Well just buy them both". So off to the gun shop and picked up the SIG. An hour later, the STI guy emails & says it's mine if I want it. Seller tells me his wife once worked for STI & this pistol was made for her. I had a better than expected anniversary.

Congratulations nice looking pistols + 1 on holding in to her. I told my wife that I was going to head to Montrose sporting goods this past weekend to order my Ar upper but didn't because she needed to visit her mom, 89 years old and failing health, she fell and broke her hip 5 weeks ago and has developed complications, so that was more important. I'm going this weekend it's already planned, unless her mom gets worse.

A "chick gun"? Does it hurt less when you get shot by it? Nice wife BTW (but you already know that).

Man, could she impart some of that gun love on my wife? I’m lucky if I get a mere dirty look when I’m ogling some shootin’ iron or another... the odds of me finding one under some wrapping paper? Never :(

A sure keeper, with great taste in guns...congrats!

Stay safe.

No need to tell you that you have a "One in a Million Wife" there!

Take great care of her and enjoy your time (and gift giving occasions), together!

Oh and just to let you know, it's not your "good wife"; it's your "Amazingly Thoughtful Wife"!

I think your wife is cheating on you, with me. If she has long auburn hair, pale skin, and bright blue eyes, we might need to:

A. Have a serious conversation.

If she doesn’t then:

B. Have a beer together to swap stories about being the 2 luckiest guys ever.

She sounds great. Probably just hoping you'll go to the range more often for longer shooting sessions.
My wife bought me a S&W model 69 for my birthday, but we went to a gun show last weekend and there was a S&W model 29-2 4" in the box for $400. But she gave me the evil eye for some reason. She must not understand that you can't have to many 29's, but I know that look. Well money is tight for us at the moment, so I guess she had a point.
Great lady, been hanging with me for 45 years. Still haven't figured that one out. I'm hoping she won't come to her senses.
Sounds like you got a good partner. And remember it's cheaper to keeper.

YIKES! That needed to come home. Even if money is tight, you could have flipped it and doubled your money.
At least she goes to the shows with you.

If she's cheating, she's happy, he's happy, and you're happy. Shhhhh! Don't rock the boat since there's not another boat coming with those benefits.

Does she have a sister?

You never want the sister. They are never alike. He's got the good one, a sister would be bad. I'd be looking for a friend that hangs our with the wife a lot. She is more likely to act the same than a sister!!!!
