Evil5, get outta there. Take whatever is valuable or irreplaceable to you, and disable the rest (pull bolts/firing pins on any firearms left behind & hidden). Take what water, legal docs & papers & gas & food & cash you can, and go. There's lotsa room in Texas, and folks are nice also in OK, KS, NE, SD, ND, IA...
Seconded. I know Norman's a bit of a haul, but I'd be happy to help out if anybody wants to head this way, and I'm sure I could find more than a few other people who'd do the same.

Good to hear ya got power restored Evil5, that ought to help calm folks down a bit.
Hang tough!
Vic

I'm really hoping so.

This area was pretty heavily damaged, but not near to the level that the areas farther west have been.

To put it in perspective, if the eye of a category 3 hurricane had gone right over Mobile, it would have done about the same amount of damage. That's the kind of damage we have.

It's total devastation as you cross the state line and get farther west. Nothing is left. It's like an atomic bomb has gone off.

"One thought the veneer of civilization was thicker than that"

It is, but the press is not going to concentrate their reports on that part of it. We are a nation of ambulance chasers anymore.
