Longtime shooter but new to the AR platform. Just couldn't resist this beauty.

Looking for help on compatible sling mounts and sling swivels. I prefer those that will work with the Magpul MS1 sling.

Also need advice on a red dot and back up iron sights.

A light would also be nice. What works well for you?

Thanks guys

Your photo didn't work, but it sounds like a cool gun. For a red dot, aimpoint makes some excellent ones like the PRO or the micro. If those are too pricey, the ones made by Vortex are fine red dots too, and have a lifetime warranty. For back up sights, Troy probably makes the best ones. When it comes to lights, it's hard to beat a surefire scout.

Nice rifle.
I am not in to ARs , i have one simply to fulfill my duty as a citizen to help protect the homeland should the need ever arise.
I keep mine simple.
Ddm4v5, eotech, vortex magnifier, flip up iron sights and a magpul ms4 qd convertable type sling. Works for me, but i dont try for tiny groups. More like minute of soup can at 100 yards is good enough. Been a great rifle.

As far as the red dot and BUIS I’ve typically gone with either Samson or Troy H&K style flip ups and Aimpoint. There’s also the Trijicon MRO.

Battery life for the EOTech isn’t that great. As for brands that have a battery life of 5+ years you’ve already gone with Daniel Defense, might as well keep on going top of the line instead of going with Primary Arms or Holosun. Those are decent brands, but mostly the shooters that are choosing those are putting them on mixmaster AR’s with some flavor of PSA/Anderson/Bear Creek parts. I’ve done the same thing myself.

It doesn’t make much sense to spend $440 on a PSA rifle kit and an Anderson lower and then slap an Aimpoint T-2 or H-2 micro with a La Rue mount on there at $774.

The Aimpoint Pro is middle of the road.

Aimpoint, EOTech, and Trijicon all have combat proven red dots. The Holosun red dots are decent cheaper alternatives.

For lights I would strongly look at the Surefire Scout series and the Streamlight Railmount series. Modlight and OWL also make really good lights.
