I believe myself to be largely beyond my handgun-accumulation period, so it may be a very, very long time before I acquire a total of five more.
With plenty of fixed-sight SA sixguns already, I am looking to really nice, higher-end sixguns with adjustable sights. Perhaps a really nice Colt New Frontier, or maybe a not-so-nice one, and send it to Alan Harton or Ed Janis for refurbishing.
With plenty of duty/service-type autos, which I have narrowed down to several SIG P229s and a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special 1911, it is possible I have bought my last weapon in this category, but I may, after retirement, start carrying a 1911 again regularly, and may add another 1911, perhaps another Baer, with adjustable sights.
I really, really like my 4" Ruger Speed Six, a superb carry sixgun, and would buy a spare if the opportunity presented itself.
Back to the 1911 for a moment. I just might be tempted by one of the re-released Colt Delta Elites in 10mm. Or, another maker's 10mm 1911.
Back to adjustable-sighted sixguns: Freedom Arms Model 97 sixguns are always tempting me, when a new batch arrives at a local dealer.
OK, that is five, but since the above are "just maybe" purchases, I will add that I like to finger-diddle 3-1/16" Ruger SP101s, looking for a really smooth one. This may be my most likely next purchase, as it is more affordable than the above handguns. Really, though, I am more likely to pick up another rifle or two before I buy more handguns.
