My photo of Lori is on a billboard in Texas!

This seems to be getting more common - both pro- and anti- gun messages on billboards/buildings and the like.

People in California would wet themselves
Over that billboard. Nice job. Good to see you getting more mainstream.

Maybe not all of us, but boy would I love to contribute to making THAT urination happen. Then again, I'd probably blow soda out of my nose and spill the rest in my lap if I was drinking when I saw it. Then I'd laugh out loud.

Excellent work Oleg, Congratulations!
I will have to go drive by when I am in San Marcos in two weeks!

I love the photo but the only problem I have with it is that the pistol is so far back on her hip that many people not familiar with it might not realise that it's a gun as opposed to a cellphone.

This billboard went up because people on OCDO donated funds.

It cost $10K to create billboard and keep it up for 2 months. An anonymous donor agreed to match donations so they needed $5K.

They are still taking donations. Right now there are fund to keep it up 2 months. More $$ means it is up longer and seen by more people.

Texas is one of ONLY 7 states that completely prohibits Open Carry (TX open carry laws are MORE restrictive than CA). Open Carry has been legal for the vast majority of this country history. Even when Conceal Carry was illegal (under the thinking why would you hide your firearm unless you are up to no good) open carry was legal across the country.

Oh and Oleg, Amazing Job. Congrats. You must be proud. Have you seen the billboard in person? Must be pretty cool to see your art on the "big screen".

Its a good example of what can happen when people band together to do something useful. I would bet a fair amount of the contributions came from outside the state of Texas. I figure it can only help the rest of us any time a state increases the level of freedom for its own citizens.
