Thought I'd post a few pics of my recently cerakoted Ruger SP101. I had it done in sniper gray and graphite black. I'm really happy with the way it came out.
I'm just not a fan of all stainless guns really, and I had a free cerakote job at a local store here in Boise.
I just looked at the bottom of the cylinder crane where it looks to be chipped in the photo. It was just oil residue from when I cleaned it. It wiped right off.
I have shot 50 rounds through it so far. .357 mag ammo is really hard to find right now.
I'd love to hear back on how well the finish on the breech face and cylinder wears over time - probably my biggest reason for not 'coating a revolver is due to concerns that the finish would wear poorly in those areas....
