The USP Elite is hands down the MOST accurate .45 acp factory mostly original pistol I have ever owned.
(I did change the sights.)
The G41 has shown itself to be everything I expected it to be, a 14 shot replacement for the 1911 type pistols.
Reliability of both has been flawless.

Shootability is ergo near perfect though some may find the USP to feel quite large in the hand it is more visual than actual IF you have large hands, (I do).
Switching the magazine baseplates to flat bottoms can correct the intimidating size appearance as the frame is identical to the standard .45 acp USP.
Magazine capacity is comforting at 12 rounds but unnecessary for what is to me, a dedicated target shooting pleasure pistol..

I do have a set of Trijicons for the G41 but it has shot so well with the factory sights in place that I have yet to change them out.
I do not use any of the included add on backstraps with the G41 as I found the Gen 4 slim frame design perfect as is for me.
I have installed an extended slide release and also installed an NY-1 trigger spring, (I do this to all my Glocks.)
Normally I use a 3.5 pound connector but on this gun I am using a 5 pound connector.
The pull is heavier than factory but more important,is the reset is pronounced, crisp and positive. I like this.

The only downside to these pistols is both utilize polygonal type rifling, nice for cleaning but it disallows the safe shooting of lead only bullets and requires both be used with jacketed bullet ammunition.
Eventually I will get a Lone Wolf conventional rifled barrel for the Glock.
None are made aftermarket for the USP that I am aware of.

I've always wanted a USP Elite. They look like sweet shooters, and I imagine recoil is pretty lite with that big old slide.

No $$$$$ though.

My HK45 and my Gen4 Glock 21 keep good company with my Dan Wesson Valor, S&W 1911 and my Ruger SR1911 Commander Length.

USP Elite .45? AWESOME
I had the regular USP .45 and it was great, always wanted an Elite or Expert in .45.
I have the HK45C now and it's flawless, but that Elite has to be the ultimate .45 range gun/hunter.

I would love to give that Glock a workout too!

Congrats on a great pair of .45s.

BTW, I shoot a lot of powder coated bullets in my HK, they cost only slightly more than plain cast. I like SNS Casting's 200 grain SWC for my 45C.

The Elite's slide is tapered and is actually quite light. The Elite is several ounces less than a Expert or Tactical. Aftermarket barrels would be problematic for an Elite as the barrel is hand fitted to the slide. One of the reasons it's a laser. It's a great gun. Shot my all time best centerfire group ever with it.

Same here, I shoot coated in my HK45T, no leading, zero issues.

I'm so glad to see that USP Elite in there. Definitely didn't expect that!

I have one of basically every USP (FS, Tactical, Compact, Expert, Match) and am hoping to add an Elite 9mm this year. I don't shoot any polymer handguns better than those.

That USP Elite brings back so many memories...I had a squirt gun back in the 60s that looked just like it. Seriously, I've got three .45s: 1) S&W 645; 2) S&W 457, and a 3) Sig Saur that belonged to my dad. Hate that Sig! The safety pinches my thumb every time.

All three are ultra-reliable in functioning, though. I wish my dad had kept his Colt Gold Cup. It failed one in a blue moon, but I'm sure some shooting would have cleared it up. Pretty gun. Beautiful finish! The S&W 645 is arguably the best of the bunch.

Glock 41 MOS .45acp ....

I like the new Glock 41 MOS model. It allows fast attachments of common target sights & red dot set-ups that 3-gun shooters/handgunners are now using.
I may buy a Glock 41 but there are 3-4 other firearms I'd get first.
I looked into the new Glock 41 in 2014 but saw a decent offer on a few Glock 21 police trade in models. They had trijicon night sights & 3 13rd .45acp magazines.
I don't have the NY-1 trigger either but would consider that modification if I shot my Glock 21 gen 04 more often. I like the NP3 coated Double Diamond 3.5lb connector from www.Glockstore.com too  .

For carry/defense .45acp loads I use the Liberty Ammunition Civil Defense round or the Ranger T/T Series 230gr +P JHP. I had some older MagSafe SWAT ammunition for home protection but decided to shoot that up & try the new Liberty Ammunition .45acp load. It's well made and has good ballistics.
