With my Stainless Springfield Champion!

We just returned from the range and before today she had never even held a 1911.
After shooting the XD9 she says, did you bring 'that silver gun"? Yeah, well let me shoot it. OK. :D
It took her a few magazines to get a feel for it and she had to adjust her grip a few times to figure out what was comfortable but once she had a feel for it, LOOK OUT.
I am so proud. I think I feel a tear coming.

You know, these "my wife is so lethal and she just took over my gun" threads remind me of one of Sheriff Jim Wilson's articles. I think he was addressing the question of "what is a lady's gun?" According to Sheriff Wilson, Skeeter Skelton was sent the first Super Redhawk Ruger turned out to review it. Then Skeeter's wife, Sally, took one look at that gun and it was her's. They said that gun went everywhere she went. It rode in the car, set on the kitchen counter, and laid right there under the bed when she slept. Sheriff Wilson said they called that one "Sally's purse gun".

My wife actually prefers the Dan Wesson (.357) to several others we have had in the past such as a 1911 service pistol and (.45) and a styer (.40)

Looks to me a lot lik ethe CZ 75/85 also. I kinda like the olive drab model, but the yellow is just too... I dunno; too "Dewalt" maybe?

When my wife and I started shooting together, she was a better shot with her 1911 than I was with mine. Many of my shooting buddies gave me a hard time about my wife being better than me. They changed their tune, however, when I asked whether or not any of their wives shot and shot well and also asked who they would rather have behind them as a shooter in a crisis, someone who is worst than they shoot or someone who is better.

They never gave me a hard time about it again after that.

As for guns in colors, I believe that coatings like Gunkote and the myriad of variations on it can actually be made to come out in just about any color. It is just a matter of using the correct pigment.

Ahem. Sarsilmaz of Turkey began marketing CZ clones that were suspicously similar to Tanfoglio Force pistols, marketed as Witness in this country. Also, Tanfoglio had a distinctive colored frame line that was in the Compact size, a lot like these... Now, what is VERY odd, is these pistols, look a LOT like Force 99, but with some differences, marked Bernadelli, and are imported by Sarsilmaz....as the character from Laugh In would say..."Verry interesting...." Must be some design swapping/interlocking directorships/etc going on in Italy and Turkey....I kinda like the Blue frame.... :p
