A friend of mine bought an ammo can full of these yesterday thinking they were 7.62x39. He was very dissapointed when he noticed they were too long fit his Ak magazine. I knew at first sight they were not 7.62x39 but must admit that I have never seen this round before.
Any ideas? Here is a picture of the mystery round next to a 7.62x39 round for comparison. I havent gotten out my micrometer yet because I figured someone here would know what it is right off...but I can take some measurments if need be.
Thanks,
Jason

The label on the box is for 9mm. :)

It is indeed a 7.62x45mm Vz.52 rifle cartridge.

it's quite odvious that it's a box that WW 9mm comes in, and since it has a reload label that has +p, 1280fps and power pistol on it I'm gonna wager it's not 6.8spc

You have a can full of milsurp 7.62x45?

If you don't have a Czech VZ-52 rifle to shoot it in, let me know.

I do, and that ammo hasn't been available for quite some time.

I handload the stuff using reformed reloadable brass, but I could always use a batch of the original stuff for dimensional samples, etc. ;)

Yea...thats a box of my reloades. They just happened to be sitting on my bench at the time.
I'll try to get in touch with my friend and see if he will sell them...I'm sure he has no use for them.
Thanks,
Jason
