Other "family" guns: Colt Woodsman .22 LR, 12 Gauge SXS, 12 Gauge Winchester 1200.

These will NEVER leave the family.

Here's mine, I have many that will never be out of my possession but this one is the most special.

My father bought it new and I have admired it, fondled it, and drooled over it since I was old enough to do so.

My dad passed away unexpectedly at 59 it in the spring of 2005.

Damm good question that took some thought to answer . I happen to own several rangeing from a first gen SAA colt .45 thro a kel-tek p3at. I have to honestly answer the question tho as my most prized possession handgun is the one i have on me . Its the one that will save my life .

I've been meaning to purchase one of the new manufactured ones by Oly Arms just so I can have this one to keep pristine and still enjoy shooting a Wolverine. (which is a hoot!)

Xavier, this came direct from the factory with the white poly grips but since I have never seen another nickel plated one period I did not think it was unusual. Seen a handful of blued ones before though.

Colt Commander that was given to me by a old girlfriend's father when I graduated college. This got me started in collecting Colts.

The pic doesn't do the bluing justice, it's got some honest wear but it's a good shooter.

My most prized gun that I carry is my G23. I just love that gun.

I have a couple of safe queens and since they ARE safe queens, I guess that they are "prized guns"

They are:

Consecutive serial numbered Kimber Custom Series I 25th Anniversary guns...NIB, unfired, etc...

Glock 20th Anniversary G17. NIB, unfired etc...

I would have to say my Beretta 92FS. It has sentimental value. Its not my favorite to shoot, but it was my first pistol i ever bought and I competed with it when I was in the National Guard. No I didn't make it in the Governor's Twenty in case some wonder.:banghead: My favorite one to shoot is my Springfield 1911a1 SS ported. It is such a tack driver and sweeet gun to shoot. I will never sale either.

How can any one have a favorite??? I have several that are favorites for thier class of use. I have a serial #2 Linebaguh in 500 Linebaugh, that is my favorite woods gun when I am in grizzly country, but I have other favorites for other purposes. My favorite elk rifle is a 338 Win. Mag. that I had made long ago and on and on and on......

Prized Possession Handgun

My Colt Diamondback in .38, 4", nickel. I will sell all I have before the Diamondback leaves. It is not the rarest, most expensive or prettiest I have but I know the history. It was the favorite gun of one of my favorite people. The man that lead me down this path of a love of firearms, loved this weapon everyday. He was carrying it the day he died (heart attack). Got to go.

The revolver would have to be the Ruger Blackhawk in .357mag my father passed to me. Never had the safety modified, and never will.

The auto will be a 1903 Colt, I love this little pocket pistol, an heirloom from 3 generations before me! Great little shooter too, gotta be the nicest of the small guns.

Nickle plated Colt Trooper MKIII.My dad bought it in 1974 after I was born.It was always his favorite gun.It has always been my favorite as well.He gave it to me last summer (with all his others), then passed away this Thanksgiving.It is beautiful, accurate, fun to shoot, and has lots of memories and history.

For me the most pized in my collection is this Colt Peacemaker that belonged to my grandfather. The gun is still in great condition and all matching serial number on the parts. It is worth quite a bit but as my wife said "It might as well be worthless because you will never sell it!" She is very correct on that.
