I can't believe nobody makes . . .

1. Complete sets of accurate blueprints of guns, or CAD files of same.

2. Computer files to allow someone with access to, say, an NC-controlled milling machine to make an entire gun from scratch.

3. An affordable double rifle in a serious caliber.

4. Large caliber bolt action rifles with drop-box magazines. (Anyone besides CZ?)

5. Guns without lawyer locks.

How about a QUALITY copy of the HKMP5A2 in semi auto for a decent price.

+1 on that… Back in '95 I had a pre-ban HK-94 A3 I bought for $2500, and sold in '96 for $3000.

There's any number of 9mm semi-automatic carbines on the market that'll do the same thing (launch 9mm down range as fast as you can squeeze the trigger…) for well under $1000, more like $200-400.

I'll grant that the current domestic clone makers have very small economies of scale so they're probably not profitable at anything less than $1200..., but these HK clones are stamped sheetmetal weapons, made on old tooling bought from third-world HK contract nations, but the carbines are priced like forged reciever rifle caliber weapons…

The HK cachet notwithstanding, these are $500 carbines, IMO...

An amercian Burka. Make them fashionable. They could have see through mesh or such material at stragetic places. Made of bright colors and different textures and have designs and sparkle. Perfert for the bad hair day, Gotta run to the supermarket, famous people or just peoole who want more priviacy and great for concealed carry. They could even be made more form fitting. You could also have half bukas with Dasiy duke shorts on the bottom. I would wear one. It would be cool.

CDNN SPORTS DOUBLE RIFLE IN $30:06 FOR UNDER $300 NEW IN BOX.
Made in Russia, now going to be sold for over twice the price as a "Remington"
Marty in Oregon

A heavy barrel for the Mini-14 (so accuracy doesn't degrade as it heats up), and 30 round mags that work ...

Its a dumb idea that will never happen, but I have always wanted a Ruger 1911. Call me crazy, but I love Ruger's.

My wish list:

Hunting rifles with detachable mags. 3-5 rounds would be fine and I don't mean a 15Lb Sako.

Herters used to make a small plastic box to put .22's in. Slide the cover off and the case heads were easily grasped for loading your rifle. Out of production now and I want another.

Replacement wood stocks for ugly guns. I've got a Marlin tube fed .22 that is an absolute tackdriver. But it has an ugly black plastic stock. I'd pay $100 for a nice wood one.

.22's with drilled recievers. Being a machinist myself, I'm sure it costs more to mill grooves than drill and tap holes. Why not put a good platform under a scope?

Reproduction Maynard rifles. These are just so neat and would be about the same price as a single shot shotgun, $100-200 bucks.

An air pump with an adaptor to fit your action to blow air through your rifle barrel to help speed up cooling at the range. I saw a patent for one, although I doubt it would pass muster if challenged. It's too obvious to anyone who knows that blowing on stuff metal makes it cooler.

A similar device, using CO2 cartridges, is available for blackpowder guns. I'm sure it could be modified for regular rifles.

Chris

CO2 cartridges are a little bit too annoying. I just want a simple battery powered air pump that has a tube that I stuff into the action. I think I might just jerry-rig something up of my own :D

Along the same line, a Ruger PC carbine in 10mm set up to take Glock hi-cap magazines. I'd jump on i!

Me too, but I'd be just as happy to see magazines of over 11 rounds for the PC40.

A new doublestack in 7.62x25 Tok.

Sure, if Cor-Bon or Speer would load a JHP for it.

How about a hi-cap magazine for the Ruger 44 magnum semi-auto carbine. The 4 shot magazine is a joke.

Agreed. How'bout a factory magazine modified to accept Desert Eagle mags? You could use an alternate mag release for the DE mags so that you'd only need one adaptor, sort of like mag blocks for 9mm ARs. I imagine it would look like the Marlin Camp Carbine when you're done.

A bolt action rifle in 5.45x39

The 5.45x39 would make a great bolt rifle round.

It exists.

Perform a Google search on "SSG 82"

It was a bolt-action 5.45X39 East German rifle used during the cold war as a light sniper rifle for internal security forces, and (at least rumored) for "wall duty" to stop citizens trying to flee the country. It had a detachable magazine and a target style wooden stock with a rather "Anchutz-like" grip.

With good ammo they are supposed to give consistent MOA or better performance.

Centruy Arms brought a small load of them (with scopes) into the US shortly after German reunification. Because 5.45 was very rare in the US at the time, they went for pretty cheap.

They come up for sale occasionaly on the gun auctions if you want one badly enough.

There ya go.

As for me:

A reliable 8- or 10 round magazine for the remington 7600 pump guns.

New M14 magazines at reasonable prices.

I an optic like the Elcan Specter (1x red dot with swicth to 4x magnified optic via throw type lever) that's reasaonbly priced.

An updated AK-47 action rifle with a solid rail built off of the receiver coming back towards the stock that rides over the removable dust cover where a rear sight and optic could be mounted that isn't a custom job.

A M-14 style rifle that's actually to spec without paying around $3000.00.

Free float handguards made out of carbon fiber or some syntheitc material for the FAL and the G3/PTR-91/Cetme.

An M-14 in 6.5 Grendel.

Hey Carnaby

CO2 cartridges are a little bit too annoying. I just want a simple battery powered air pump that has a tube that I stuff into the action. I think I might just jerry-rig something up of my own

A compressor will give you slightly warmer than room temp air (due to friction), but gas (CO2 or air) that has been compressed for a while will come out of the nozzel pretty cold. Maybe you should just whip up an adapter to use one of those cans of air that are sold for cleaning electronics? They sell for $6 or $8 for 3 pretty big cans over at Fry's. Or build a refillable can that you can top off at the gas station.

OK, revolvers are old fashioned. But how about one with night sights for us whell gun fans?

And on the newfangled front, a 1911ish pistol with a good trigger, conventional safety, but striker fired.

Dehydrated ammo for the next hurricane?

Cromlech I too agree on the FG-42. 1st version in .308 would, well, I'd sell everything I've got to get it!

How about
