I'm looking for a thinner 9mm. I have looked at a few 9mm's at my local shop, but they are all 15 rd double stack models. Looking for a 10 rd or so single stack 9mm for Concealed carry....any ideas? THANKS!

Kel-Tec PF9
Star BM
Single stack 9mm 1911
I think there are some single stack 9mm S&Ws, too.

I'm blanking right now, but I'll come up with more. I'm sure someone will beat me to it.

If you want compact and thin, try looking at the Khar k9, p9, etc. I'm a big fan, but they're a little heavy.

Heard good things about the new Keltec, but I was never a fan of their triggers.

Sig P239 is another option as is the S&W 3919 or the economy model 908 (if they're still making it).

If you're a fan of the single action, look at Springfield. They recently came out with a 1911 that is completely scaled down for 9mm proportions (not just rechambered). Should be nice and thin, but I haven't handled one.

9mm are already skinny...that's why I shoot 45 ACP! :D That said...the thinnest is the Kel Tec PF-9 I think and a Khar is pretty slim too.

I may not be an expert, but I do believe that the Khar is going to be your best bet.

Very Thin.. great CCW

You might check out the new Ruger SR-9.

YosemiteSam357 is our first official Ruger SR-9 homer.....:neener:

You did see he wanted a skinny single stack 10round 9mm for CCW, not a 17rd full size service weapon right?

The SR-9 does look to be a fairly decent gun though.

The EMP is ridiculously priced, holy cow. I loved the gun until I saw I couldn't score one for less than $950. FTL.

I do like the prospect of a tiny 9mm 1911 though.

You know? To be honest I never looked at the SR-9's capacity. I handled one in the shop the other day and thought it was a single stacker, it was so skinny. I have read an article indicating it may not be the most accurate 9mm in existence, however.

What's "homer"? As in, "Doh!"? :D

I checked out a browning bdm for the first time at a local shop the other day. never seen one before. its very skinny, seems to be about the same as a 1911. felt pretty good actually. ithink they are hard to come by, though.

Thanks guys!

Looks like I got some shopping to do....the Real trick is to try and find a shop here in Joisey that has some of these to check out.

That Springfield EMP sure is purty...:p

The BHP, while not exactly compact, is quite slim and undoubtedly one of the easiest full-size pistols to conceal. Don't let the double-stack magazine scare you away. If the 1911 is on your short list, the BHP should be as well.

They are hard to find, but Beretta makes a model 92 Type M.
It's the 92 but compact and single stacked.

The Sig 239 would be a good choice for an almost sub compact gun. The Sig 225 would be an even better choice in the compact size class.

The HK P2000 is slim too.

dang....that Walther PPS is harder to find than Britney Spears' underwear...:barf:

i'll have to get on the phone tomorrow...

First you say you are looking for a slim 9mm for concealed carry and then admit you are in Joisy (as in NJ). When is the last time you checked the laws on handgun ownership in NJ?

When is the last time you checked the laws on handgun ownership in NJ?

Being a liflelong resident of NJ, I am, unfortunatly, all too aware of these laws...such as the required Permits, the CCW statutes, etc...thanks for the concern.
