Need a starting load

bought some Hunter Supply.311 150 gr hpgc hardcast,16 bhn, For use in my Marlin .308 bore these are gas check bullets but I am going to load some w/o so want to keep below1500- 1600 fps I have 4227,IMR 4198, and IMR3031 I have more but these are the best candidates.

.308 bore what? .308 Winchester or some other .30 caliber like maybe .30-30?

A friend and I had good accuracy with 14 grains of IMR 4227 in .30-30 and various cast bullet weights, most near 170 grains.

Of the powders you listed I would try 4227.

If you have any 2400 on hand I would try that.
