My youngest daughter is looking for a compact auto, so I've been taking a look at the Taurus 22lr and 25acp models. I've never owned a Taurus product so I have no first hand knowledge. This is not for personal protection just a small frame plinker at the range..

What do you think? Good, bad, problematic??

If this is not a self defense gun then I suggest getting a Ruger Mark ? or Browning Buckmark 22 pistol. Why buy a small frame if it is not for self defense. A full sized 22 is easier to shoot well and she will have a better experience with it. IMO

This is the 2nd issue SK-100 Sport King Auto Pistol, .22LR, Aluminum Frame with 4.5 inch barrel, fixed sights, lightweight marking in script. Hamden, Conn. All Original. 90%-95% $395 ...G.A.

They go down to about $250 for the flight king and duramatic.

Can't recommend any but the older H.S. that were made in CT.. My daughter loves my Supermatic. Most models are appreciating in value, esp. the Victor and Supermatic.

Thanks for the responses.

I think the best approach is to let her (me) rent some 22's at the range and pick the most appropriate one for her ability and size..

Thanks again,

C
