single action advantage: ergonomics=accuracy.
havent heard or read negatives about its reliability.
at 10 yrds itll make u look good. for a mouse gun.

I've had a model 21 in 25 acp for about 15 years now, bought new in 1991, and carried in my pocket holster many days. It has NEVER had a FTF or FTE after many hundreds of rounds of various make though it. With the guns avaialabe today though, I might choose the NAA Guardian in .25 NAA, those look like much better ballistics. I now shoot the 35 gr. Hornady XTP load in my .25, it does change the point of impact a little but at 1-5 yards it's still good enough.

In my experience the only pocket gun as reliable as the Beretta has been an old Browning .25, although it will only feed specific HP loads.

I picked up a ARMI in .25acp for $30.00. A .25acp can be a man stopper if you shot the bad guy in the face or neck. I have had .25 ravins and they work fine if you make sure you clean them after you shoot them, so many people will put down the little gun due to they "jam" but 9 times out of 10 the reason of the jam is the little gun was dirty. you can pick up these little guns for around $50.00, I've picked them up even cheaper that that. Thats the reason I got the ARMI for $30.00, the last owner said "It jams all the time" I looked at it and could see the reason, It was DIRTY. I bought it and cleaned it up and now it fires with no problems.

I have a NAA .22 that goes everywhere with me in a front pocket. I have the "holster grip" for it and it folds like a lock blade, yet is ready with little effort. I change ammo regularly in it, about every two weeks. .22 will go bad on you with sweat and such invading the cartridge. It does not keep well in use. It also has its feeding problems in most any mouse guy I've hever had chambered in it. I had a Baretta Jet Fire in .22 short that was a complete POS. I sold it. It would jam most rounds no matter how I fiddled with the magazine and it would fail to fire rather often. I'd bought it thinking it was a Beretta, what better gun could you get for mouse duty? One answer, a revolver. LOL! As poor as that Beretta was is as good as the little NAA is. It's the gun I always have even when I don't have a gun. No harder to have along than a good lock blade and a lot more effective at 7.5 yards. I've even taken a couple of rabbits with it at short ranges, about 40 feet.

I have had two cheap .25s. I'm convinced if you want a small auto, get it in .25. Both those guns fed flawlessly. The .25 is built for the purpose and the Winchester with the ball in the nose is as good as any .22lr for defense, IOW, hit the eye socket. :D

I'm not a big fan of the .32 either. If you can carry a .32, you likely have room for a .380. There are some smaller .32s now days on the Secamp mold, like the NAA Guardian, but I still prefer a .380 for pocket carry. I have a Kel Tec P11 9x19, but it's a little large for jeans pockets. It's an IWB gun, very light and easy to carry.

All just my opinions, but I've been around this road a lot. I've carried mouse guns when carrying guns was a no, no in Texas. I was living by the "better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6" philosophy. An RG (used to joke it stood for "real good") .25, about as cheap a POS as ever was built, saved my skin once. I never had to fire it. Sight of the weapon sent the bum running. That gun never jammed or failed to fire, yet it was a pot metal POS, cheap. I sold it, shoulda kept the thing, LOL! I don't care much for cheap striker fired pistols, though. Will only carry one condition three. I'd rather have a DAO or hammer fired gun.

OK, I bought a gun. Not quite what I envisioned between this and the Ruger KP345 thread, but close to a pocket gun (but not exactly a "mouse gun").

I ended up buying another J-frame sized snub. I got an aluminum S&W 442 to go along with the Taurus 85CH I already have. Not quite a mouse gun, but my Taurus 85CH fits decently in a pocket and the lightweight 442 should be more suitable for pocket carry due to the aluminum alloy frame.

That means, I'm still (long term) in the market for a true pocket gun. If I don't get a Kahr PM9 or P9 Covert first (though they aren't quite true pocket guns, at least not mouse guns) then I'll probably just wait until I leave MD (or MD changes) and pick up a Kel-tec P32 or NAA mini-revolver.

How about one like this? :D
ROTFLMAO. Say, Bilbo, I hope that mouse has passed the appropriate background checks and has a Class 3 license.

Because we all know guns don't kill people; angry rodents with Assault Weapons do...:)

Reliability? Go with the .32, or, .380 Guardian,I have both. or the Kel Tec. RUN, don't walk, away from the Seecamp.

Hi there,

I own 2 Kel Tecs which were very reasonably priced "mouse guns", i.e. the P-32 and P-3AT. I have had great success with both.

I also owned a Beretta 21A, but sold it because of the tendency of the slide to unhing itself during firing.

My current carry piece is a S&W 642-2 and I have put the Kel Tecs away.

Kevin, you have been asked numerous times to post over at the Seecamp forum. Some of the information you have been spreading at various sites is at best the product of poor memory.

I know you don't like our pistols and you may have valid reasons for that opinion. Please come over to our site and post there to liven up the discussion.

It's really not fair, some might say cowardly, for you to continue to voice your displeasure with our pistols at places where we are unlikely to respond due to courtesy for the forums at which you post.

Sir, if you don't mind me asking: I'm looking for a pocket auto. The NAA .32ACP Guardian's trigger guard slams my finger with each shot causing loads of pain. I was considering a .25NAA Guardian which might be more forgiving. Is your .32ACP Seecamp maybe less harsh on the trigger finger than the .32ACP Guardian? Both companies look like they make quality a priority so that's not a concern at all. Thank you very much.

Hi Larry,

This is a OPEN FOURM. We are allowed to express our opinions here, just as you, and your friends have have the right to be classless enough to ATTACK ME PERSONALLY, for expressing such, as you have done on other occasions. You don't need to spend much time here to see that you are THE ONLY manufacture who gets personally involved with ANYONE who has had the misfortune of buying one of your pistols. Others may be happy with your products, and service. My experience was TERRIBLE.
I am sure the PERSONAL attacks will now follow as you, and your friends, have done on more than one occasion.

Kevin

To each his own. I have a Seacamp .32 and love it. I also have a PPK .380 that I love. Both are reliable and easily concealed. Just a matter of personal preference on what you like/feel comfortable with.

Probably ought to have had someone look at that. My 950 is the ONLY mousegun I'd trust to empty the magazine as fast as I can pull the trigger, (and just to test, I'd emptied three mags in a row, drop-and-slap-in...no misfires, just a nicely perforated couple of targets.)

Also have done a totally mixed-up mag of Federal FMJ, Speer Gold Dot JHP and even a MagSafe thrown in...still no malfunction. It's a good little gun...and surprisingly shootable for practice, no fatigue at all.

Hi Manedwolf,

Do you use a mixed load just for practice, or for carry also? I mix Silvertips, anf FMJ, in my Guardian as a carry load.

A total scrambled load was just for practice to see if I could MAKE it misfeed...I couldn't. :)

But yeah, since because with that caliber, penetration vs. expansion is of issue, especially with winter clothing, I normally have an every-other load of Federal 50gr FMJ and Speer Gold Dot JHP in it.

Though after seeing this image of a Hornady XTP in that caliber expanding properly, (this pic's site said it was from a 950, at that), and hearing reports of very good accuracy with those, I might try those, too...need to order some.

From actually non-hyped impartial reports, it sounds like the MagSafe +P (prefragmented with multiple tiny sub-projectiles) in that caliber, even though it's extremely fast out of the muzzle, doesn't have the weight needed for penetration in so small a bullet.

I have an odd vote, for a little pistol that used to ride with me everywhere, until bad finances forced a sale...
My old BUG was a CZ70 .32, which I got for $120. Many features of far more expensive pistols, like DA/SA, decocker/safety, loaded chamber indicator, 1911 stlye mag release, came with two mags, and one drawback - looong trigger pull. I got used to it, was came within one point of qualifing POST with it. Not bad, with a pocket pistol at 25 yards!
I loaded it with HydraShoks, and it ran without a hiccup. Some day, I'll see if I can get another one....

Armoredman, how small is that gun? I was under the impression that it was around the size of a PPK. I'm looking for something smaller (though if light enough, I'd consider going that large in a larger caliber).

Well, well, the choices ,the choices.I looked at my Seecamp and Beretta today and opt for the Seecamp.Maybe tomorrow I'll opt for the Beretta.tom.

For pocket carry

I really like a Taurus M85 Ultralight .38 revolver. Nice little gun, very light weight and +P rated.
Second choice is a Beretta Tomcat .32 ACP. Also a very nice little carry gun. Biggest downside of the Beretta is the slide hits the web between my thumb and forefinger quite a bit when shooting. I just never seem to grab it right...of course, as a last ditch weapon...I guess i can live with a slide bite or two.

I've had a PA Carry License for a lot of years. Although I do prefer a bigger gun, if I've got to pocket carry, the Taurus is the first choice...and is my most frequently carried handgun.

If you do want to pocket carry, use a holster...not just drop the gun in your trouser pocket!
