Wow, a 6 year old thread resurrected. Heck, half the people who had posted on it don't even post here anymore. Anyway, I just think it is humorous that one of my old threads came up. Looking at these prices I quoted has me very nostalgic for the gun prices (even MD prices) of a few years back.
Well, I didn't end up getting the gun. A couple years later I went with a S&W 442 as my pocket gun. Then later, I picked up a used NAA Guardian in .32ACP for when I want to have an auto as a carry gun. Also, there have been some changes, administrative loopholes added to the MD laws. Both the locks and the shell casings can be handled aftermarket now.
Meanwhile, I am starting to doubt these small pocket calibers. I'm considering replacing the Guardian with a pocket gun in at least .380 and probably 9mm, so I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable with .22LR.
Still, if I ever see a PT22 (or any other small .22) for under $200 again I'll probably pick one up. I think it might be a fun gun at the range. But then, with today's prices I'm not so sure that will ever happen again.
