Mouse guns

My mouse gun is a Beretta 3032 Tomcat INOX. I shoot CCI Gold Dot 60gr jhp through it with no problems. The tip up barrel is a nice feature, as it allows easy checking to see if the pistol is loaded or not, and it's also an easy way to unload the pistol. I like this pistol for ccw because it fits well in my hand as opposed to the smaller Kel Tec P32 and it also has a decent set of sights on it, something that's lacking on the Seecamp.

Kel-tec P-3AT. If it's not reliable out of the box with the ammo you want to carry one trip to the factory will make it so.

It disappears in a smart-carry and a $12 Desantis Nemisis holster works great for pocket carry in jeans or a jacket.

The best info I've found on mouse guns is at http://www.mouseguns.com.

Here's link to a great write-up on the P-3AT called "The Ideal Pocket Gun"

The webmaster of that site lets his own opinion be expressed as FACT at the end of some of the articles, which always puts me off...such as declaring it a 'fact' that .25 is a poor caliber for self-defense and .22lr is better. (Sure, out of a rifle!)...with no mention of rimfire failures.

Oh well.

Berette 950

I've owned a Beretta Model 21 "Bobcat" in .22 LR and always liked the fit, finish, and reliability of that piece.

Although I've never owned the 950 "jetfire" I have read of it's almost legendary reliability. That is the one drawback to most pocket guns: the smaller they get the seemingly less reliable they are. Not true with the Mod 950, as far as I have read. Due to my experience with the Model 21, I would think the 950 would be a good idea.

If I'm not mistaken, the 950 is even dimensionally smaller and lighter than it's cousin the mod 21. Sounds like your mind is half-made up on the 950 already....and it is obvious you have done much research...good for you.

Ditto.

I took mine to the factory to have the trigger travel adjusted. The tech there also replaced the slide because it didn't feel right to her. She made some recommendations on ammo which boiled down to "don't shoot it with crappy ammo."

With the little clip available from Kel-Tec it fits invisibly in my jeans pocket.

What do you clip it to in your jeans pocket?

The little clip shows on the outside of the pocket. The clip is on the right side of the pistol. If you can see it at all it looks like a beeper or something small. I usually have a vest on or leave my pullover shirt on the outside. My jeans are a little baggy in front. Your mileage may vary.

Polish P64

Went to the Ft.Myers gun show last weekend to help a friend purchase a gun. I ended up buy a Polish Radom P64 9x18 pistol. I have been looking for a gun with a little more "umph" than my Beretta 21.
Like the other posters said, its got a really heavy double action pull but I am going to swap out the springs and see. It appears to be pretty well made and from what I understand, functions very well also.

My one and only mouse gun is a Seecamp 32 and I do carry it on occassion. The gun I carry most often, while not a mouse gun is a S&W 340 .357. It is less than 12 ounces and I carry it in a Kramer pocket holster.

My usual CCW is a Seecamp.32 that has never, ever failed, after 19 years. I take very good care of it, shoot about 8 times per year, on average 20 rounds per session.
Ease of carry, reliability, and durability are my main criteria in choosing a carry gun. Seecamp, Rohrbaugh, and to a lesser degree Guardian seem to meet a high standard.
Although I don't own a Kel-Tec, all the forums are filled with reliability issues that scare me off.:cuss:

Mouseguns.com has a wealth of info on small and not so small guns.
