I PC mostly my S&W .38 SPL+P's.I own a G 42 380 and a S&W BG .380,my better half love those two 380's.That's my excuse to buy the a G 43x with to 10 rounds magazines,more fire power. Anyone have the G 43x? I don't care for the Sig.

I have a 43 I got for my daughter. Great gun but a hair short in the grip. When the 43X came out we got a bunch in the shop and I've sold and handled a lot of them. Fell in love. The extra half inch or so is the perfect addition.

The G48 is on my short list. I might add the 43X to my list also.
If you take a good look at the mags, you can see that there is room for more rounds. I see new flush fit mags with a higher capacity hitting the market within a year.

The standard Glock 43 will take the x 10 round magazines. The 43x won’t take the standard 43 6 round magazines The grip is the harder part to conceal. I never have understood the full size grip with the shorter barrel
If you want to see a good example look up the XDs 4.0.

BTW I have a 43 and 48

A few weeks ago I was at my local shop, looking at a few single stacks. Two caught my eye - a Kahr P40 for $600, and a Glock 48 with ameriglo night sights for just over $500. I like both platforms, but that 10 round G48 came home with me as the better deal. It had displaced my XDs 9mm as primary carry. The 43X is the exact same but without the extended slide length. So while I do not have the 43X, I can say if you like it you should buy it, I can't see how you could go wrong.

"The standard Glock 43 will take the x 10 round magazines."
You sure? I haven't tried it yet, but I have read that it doesn't work.

I looked at the 43X and 48 today. Unless you're in a ban state, I don't see much point when a 26 or 19 can do just as much or more for a few extra millimeters of width.

Let me help you out. The point is, “more guns is better”.

Comparing the 43X to the G26 is like comparing an apple to an orange. Yes, they are both fruit. They are about the size of a baseball. They grow on trees. And I like them both, despite their differences.

The 43X vs the G26. On paper they are very similar. They are both 9mm Glocks. They both have ten round magazines. And that’s about it. They shoot and handle totally different. It’s hard to explain, except to say the G26 has a short fat grip and by comparison the 43X has a long thin grip. The G26 seems like a much softer shooting gun, most likely because of the wide grip and the heavier slide. I shoot the G26 more accurately than the 43X, at least for now. I like the 43X. It feels good in my hand, almost like they measured my hand when they designed it. I do wish they would have kept the finger groves. It is a bit snappier than the G26. (keeping in mind that it’s a 9mm not some hand cannon)

If I lived in a ban state, couldn’t I just get a G26?

It’s not just width - it’s weight.

The 43X s the perfect cargo pants pocket pistol; 11 rounds of 9mm in a package that’s a quarter pound lighter than the G26 and a half pound lighter than the G19. The G48 and G19 is too long in the barrel, the regular ol’ G43 is slower on splits, and the G42 is good for smaller pockets but doesn’t have the capacity or punch of the G43X and swims around a bit in larger cargo pockets.

The G43X works best in my cargo pants and the G42 works well in my cargo shorts

I really wanted to like the 43X and the 48 but the longer I looked at them the more I realized that neither one did anything my Glock 26 doesn't do already and my 26 has the advantage of 12 round extended magazines as well as compatibility with My 19.

Just about everyone without a lot of guns always ask that question. The Answer is, because it’s America. Plus I have a bunch of guns and adding another one always makes me happy.
More is better and better is good. :)

I don't have a lot of guns, in fact I have less than 10. That doesn't change my question.

You can have as many guns as you want. I just don't understand what makes more guns better especially in the context of more just for the sake of more

I prefer the 26 to the 43X - fills my hand better. I suppose if the reverse is true for you then the 43X might be preferable, but to me the nice thing about a subcompact is the short grip.

The 48 is just a skinny 19. If you're in a ban state and want a full grip, choosing it over a 26 would make sense, but otherwise I'd go for the slightly wider 19 and its extra rounds.

What if you just like a thinner grip 19 and already have a 19 or another equivalent double stack? This is where I fit. I do not live in a ban state and can have anything I can pay for. I find the 48 more concealable than double stacks and more comfortable to carry too. Besides the good marketing observations about capacity limits and Canadian handgun barrel length regulations, I think Glock has come up with a winner in the new slimline products, and I expect them to sell very well. I may not be the larger segment of the market Glock was aiming for, but the 48 hits everything I want in an EDC. Reliability, concealment, comfort, handling.

I like my 26, but sometimes I find it harder to conceal than my XDs because of thickness. Thinner is better, at least for me :)

I’m not one of those guys that only buys a gun to fill a need or pursue. Now that’s not saying that I don’t have guns that fill a roll. I bought my 19X because, I like service size guns. I bought the G45 to carry as a duty gun. I bought the G43 because I wanted a small CCW.
The last handgun I bought was the Sig P320 M17. It will be a range today like a lot of other guns I own.
I’m waiting to get a G48 on a blue label sale from my dealer. This gun will fill a roll as an off duty gun when I want something bigger then the G43 or something smaller then the G19.
Another reason for having so many guns is that I’m a collector.
Now if I lived in an apartment, like I did many years ago, I would not have so many guns.

You have just made Gunny's point. You don't have many, so you just don't understand why others may want more.
You could apply the same concept to books, cars, wine, coins, or even kids. They are all a bit different but each is special and wonderful in their own way. All my guns are a bit different (except for a couple of CZ82s and Beretta M71s), and they all feel and shoot in a unique way.
