New 10/22 question

I am thinking about buying a ruger 10/22 and was wondering if the guns at wal-mart are the same as guns purchased elsewhere and what sites are their for add ons and any upgrade suggetions would be appreciated.

Im loving the new tech sights I recently purchased. I want to add an extended mag release, and perhaps a smoother trigger.....Im also adding a "youth" stock so my youngest can shoot it easier. Keeping the old one so the gun can travel back and forth till I purchase another.

The guns at WalMart and elsewhere are the same.
I'd get some Butler Creek 25 round mags, a Houge stock, and an extended mag release to start.
You can add ANYTHING to those guns, or so it seems.
Your wallet is your limit.
