I don't think I would and I'm a fan of colt but the chamber on this thing is thicker than the Smith 10XX series of pistols. Tho in uses a bull barrel instead of the normal barrel bushing design which I'm not a fan of.

It needs to be a long slide. I wish someone would make a 1911 in 10mm with a 7in barrel.

I'm not positive, but I think Fusion makes one. I know they make an actual 7" 10mm barrel, just not sure if they ever made a slide/whole gun for it.

The only 10mm 7in longslide that I am aware of was the AMT Javelena. Notice I say "was", I mean try to find one!! Fusion makes the 6in kits but I do not think they make a 7 inch kit.

I had an AMT 7" 10 mm for years, bought new. The early Norma ammo was really hot and accurate. A friend talked me out of it a couple of years ago to use for pin shoots. I got out of the 10mm because my old hands couldn't take the recoil much any more. I really like the long barrel and still have two 7" 45 ACP's.

I'm very tempted. I've long wondered when, if ever, RIA would offer something other than .45acp and .38super for their 1911s.

My RIA 1911 has impressed me so far (it feeds everything), so I might bite on the 10mm offering.

If you're looking for a long slide 10mm look into Para Ordnance, I believe they've been ready to release it for a bit now.

My LGS called me today and said one had just arrived. I had a bit of time to kill before my flight and this required a quick trip. The gun appears to be fairly well made. If they hadn't been up to their arse in paperwork for black rifles it would be sitting in my house tonight. Looks like I'll be picking it up in a few days :)
