Yes, it must be your PC as the movie ran perfectly on mine.
BTW, if you really want to see the mentality of the enemy, check out how the true believers over at
www.democraticundergound.com reacted to this movie, and to the "assault weapons" ban generally. The level of discourse over there is exceptionally low.
Here's the typical style of argument over there. Mind you, I am neither making this up nor editing these two posts. The following two posts are quite typical of the hoplophobic regulars who post in the crime and gun forum there.
"Guns=kill---kill=bad----guns=bad. Seems simple to me."
and
"Just the fact that something called an 'assualt weapon' [sic] is manufactured, let alone legal, simply boggles the mind...and who do they accuse as being 'soft on crime'?"
That's it. Those were the entire posts.
Astounding, isn't it? I have never seen so much intellectual laziness, dishonesty, and willful ignorance gathered together in one place. Anyone pro-gun is dissed by the regulars as "gun woo woos," "gun idiots," or "gun nuts" while pro-2nd Amendment people who point out the ignorance of the antis get reprimanded for supposedly violating their rules. Try to discuss the specific features of various firearms (such as caliber, cartridges, semi-auto vs. full-auto, etc.) and you're called a nut. Try to carry on a rational discussion about the etymological differences between the terms "assault rifle" and "assault weapon" and they essentially call you some kind of Nazi. Recommend that they read the books of Wayne LaPierre or Joyce Lee Malcom, and they will think of a thousand self-serving rationalizations why they just can't be bothered. Instead of debate, you'll get an earful of smears, ad hominems, and guilt-by-association type of "arguments" as to why the works of Halbrook, Kopel, Cramer, Malcom, Baker, Heston, et al. just aren't even worth considering. "Facts? We don't need no stinkin' facts!"
Democraticunderground.com takes the cake. They can't handle the truth. Mostly a bunch of socialist bed-wetters engaging in one big, dysfunctional, mutually-reassuring pity-party.
I am more convinced than ever that we hold the moral and intellectual highground in the gun debate.
[OK, I'm done ranting now.]
