Hi guys,
I new here, but not new to guns. I am looking for a new gun for concealed carry.I am thinking about a Glock 27.Would this be a good choice for a primary ccw ? If not , what would you suggest ?

If the gun points well for you, and it's what you want, it's a fine choice. Just make sure you stick with quality factory ammo that you've tested in the gun prior to carrying.

Welcome to THR!

I really am a 1911 guy for sure.

But, I have owned Glocks in the past and still own a G17. They are reliable, and accurate enough for CCW. Just make sure it works for you. If at all possible shoot before you buy. It should serve you well.

Now, if you try it and do not like it, give a 1911 a try. Works for me....

The glock 27 conceals very nicely on me. For me, it's not the width of a pistol that is an issue for concealment, it's the height. At the waist I'm not real thick from front to back, so the grip tends to stick out the back through my shirt if i'm not careful... the 27 has that real short grip and works very nicely in the respect. From my experience, the .40 cal glocks all shoot pretty well (for me at least). It's not what I currently carry, but the 27 is definitely a gun I would carry...
