How about a spanking new Colt SAA, complete with nickel plating and ivory grips on an 1860 Army grip frame? Shoots massive .177" steel BB's and is powered by CO2 cartridges. It's a neat piece, a full sized, all metal replica and uses brass cartridge inserts with a rubber grommet at the base that holds the BB before its flight into the unknown. Sorry, just had to have one. Katydids beware, I'm comin' for ya! :D

Thought I'd take a few more pics showing it's interesting features. They really went to a lot of trouble on this one, much moreso than at any time in the past.

Fully functioning loading gate and ejector:

Solid brass cartridges with a rubber grommet to hold the BB's in place, available in six packs:

A false muzzle, replete with rifling:

I ordered it through Amazon but it shipped from Airgun Depot. Midway had them but they went out of stock.

Saw the Colt on the Pyramyd Air website. Went straight to the top of my Christmas wishlist. This was my full size toy that I got from a couple of years ago.

Craig,

All kidding aside, looking forward to a range report. That might be a lot more fun than some other hobbies I have.

I would like to do something I've never done before and that's bench test an air gun. That said, my seat of the pants impression is that the Colt is not as accurate as my M&P pistol. It's still fun to shoot and very impressive in the way it's made and functions.

I have one. It's a lot of fun to shoot. Accuracy is not bad for a smooth bore bb gun.
The design and the fit are very nice. Overall I am pleased with everything about it.

I'm gonna have to do two things:
!.) stop attending gun shows.
2.) stop viewing this website ....
OK just ordered one of these Umarex Colt SAAs from Amazon. Not the silver one but the blued one with micarta (?) grips. *SIGH!*
Atleast this wasn't as expensive as the last gunshow I attended .....:D
