New High Standard 1911's

Are the new High Standard 1911's quality firearms? Are they made by High Standard or are they imports? If they're imported who makes them?

I think I read they are made by Armscor. So they are Rock Islands.

A friend of mine owned a High Standard 1911 for about fifteen months. It had been a nice and reliable handgun until it went 'fully automatic' on him a few months back. He's pretty competent with firearms and always took good care of it up to that point. If you're going to get one I'd get a competent gunsmith to check it over just to be safe.

Rock Islands have awsome cusotmer Service. I would get a Tactical, and pay $399 for it.
