Holding out for a .405 caliber. I already have a 30-30 win, 94 trapper and a 1895 '06.
Yes, I understand I have 3 Henrys in brass and a BHA .500 carbine all wood and steel just not a fan of the look of the dark series. They still offer that. Ruger when they stood Marlin back up did the blued and wood (hardwood and laminate) first, stainless second and now the Dark series.

I would be tempted if I ran across one in person.Get a WWG 50cal
I would settle for a 45-90 or a 50-90 that would handle 1895 pressures.I would be tempted if I ran across one in person.
Actually their number one seller, the stainless steel SBL 1895 was their lead off, followed by the blued and laminate GBL 1895 and then the blued and walnut 336 Classic. They still offer that. I much prefer the traditional fore end. If that's a quality lightweight stock and fore end, and it were coupled with stainless, I'd love one in 44 magnum. This was the Remlin 336 Dark. I live and work in Huntsville AL as an engineer. Remington's R&D facility was here in Huntsville from 2015 to the end of the company.
ETA this was the 1894 version: Original and with a Midwest aftermarket handguard. I don't remember if that handguard was offered as a factory option.
