I've always been around gun, but as I've gotten older, I started collecting. I like them all, but for now the old style guns have my attention... super blackhawk 44mags, marlin 44mag cowboy, marlin 30-30, henry lever 22 and others... I reload for most and even cast my own bullets.

Greetings! :)

New here to the forum and have not done any shooting in a lot of years. Won a Stoeger Condor at a DU event last week... should have it here in a week or so (pending paperwork, etc.). I am among numerous Second Amendment supporters in this area, but Ithaca (the original home of the shotguns, but also (politically) "10.5 miles surrounded by reality") is not so much. Just mention Ithaca Gun in the City of Ithaca, and get some hostile looks. ;)

The Condor being a brand new (albeit inexpensive and simple) DU gun, I am not yet sure if it will mostly be a semi-collectible or regular-use gun.

new to the forum

Hi, found the forum on a Google search

I was looking for information to complete my original 1858 Remington New Army Revolver
came across sites that had a diagram of the gun and another how to dissemble it which were helpful then found this forum

I have a 1860 Colt 44 cal. Reproduction BP revolver & my original 1858 Remington N.A. revolver, 22 rifle and my 12 ga. slug shotgun
like to shoot them when i get a chance, hope to learn more about the Remington here

Obviously... my name is Mike. Been shooting since I was 14 and took my dad's company ID out to the Remington Gun Club (may it rest in peace!). Glocks, Sig 1911, Springfield, even Taurus. A good gun is simply that: A good gun. Most of what I own are more accurate than I am. My wife proves that every time we shoot together!

new member intro

Hi all,

I've had a passion for shooting since I was a young boy thanks to my father; hoping to pass the same along to my boys once they are old enough. I was pretty much a pistol guy but I'm starting to get interested in AR style rifles and I've been looking into learning how to reload too! And yes, my entertainment budget isn't going to allow for all that at once, but I can dream, right :D

Hello all. Have hunted a long time and have aquired some old guns. I live in Ga and I need help on a couple of weapons. first A leonard precussion target gun around 1850. I would like to know more, Original ram rod, cal.,ball & patch. second a winchester around 1908. Never seen anything like it. 25/35 with double set trigger.

Hey fellas, gun owning Canadian here. Be gentle.

I've got a Cooey 84, Mossberg 590A1, Savage 110 in .300WM, BRNO Model 4 .22lr, Russian SKS, Russian TT-33, Glock 17FS with an AA .22 conversion kit and a Marlin 70PSS. Getting a Beretta 1934 and I have a 1914 Enfield at the gunsmith, being rebarreled to 45-70.

Been inna guns for a while, I'd like learn from you guys. If you want to know more about my shooting stuff, go see my blog.

I'm the 44 year old son of another new member here named AWGrizzly. Been shooting and hunting almost my entire life. Born and raised in Northern Minnesota, Duluth to be exact. Not much of a pistol owner/shooter, but would like to get more into that. My main weapons of choice are my .300 Weatherby Magnum, and my 45/70 Marlin Guide Gun. I have a few others also. Most noteworthy I guess would be a pretty cool and decked out Berretta Storm CX4 which has to be my most favorite shooter.

Anywho, I'm glad to have found you guys here and look forward to some great dialog about reloading ammo, and guns in general.

Cheers! =)

Hi, yall. Gravelbelly, Im new to forums. Im a military history buff so naturally I, have grown an interest (aka obsession) with guns from this. I own a (my first) FA-91 17"(.308 Win), a Saiga 12 22". I want to learn as much as can about guns and and Ive noticed that in my research i often find myself scaning through forums ... so why not join one. Im looking seriously at reloading and casting and was even looking at brass making till I found out that I am Woefully unfunded.

Good day, THR. I am a relatively new firearms owner, and this is the first firearm-related forum I have joined. I hope to gain knowledge and insight from membership here, as well as talk to more seasoned owners.

Currently I own a 1930's vintage Winchester bolt-action .22 rifle with 15 round tube magazine. Fun little plinker.

I am happy to find this forum and I love this country. As many problems that we have, it still is the best and most wonderful country to live in. I spent 32 years in government work and 3 years serving my country. 18 months in Northern I corp in Vietnam with the 101st Abn. Div. I have a lifetime CCP and never leave home with-out my 1911 and also my bug gun on my ankle. I have a total of 30+ handguns and 18 different long guns. My passion is for the 1911, and thanks to John Browning. I compete in pin shoots and a member of a local gun club in my city.

Hi, everybody. I started shooting a year and a half ago. I lived in a so-so neighborhood in Rockford, IL and got an XD9 in case I needed to do any social work. It grew into a hobby and now I own several pistols and carbines and shoot in my new backyard (cornfield) and at the Tri County Gun Club near Polo. Il. I'm a member of the Kel Tec and Hi-Point forums, and this looks like a good one, too. I'm a strong supporter of the first (and therefore the second) amendment, and joined the NRA, ISRA, and gunssavelife.com.

Hello! Decided to join up after searching around for some info about a couple of guns I'm going to inherit. Google pointed me in this direction, and it looks like a well run and organized site, so here I am. Hope to learn a bunch, and maybe someday will be able to help another new guy out...

Hey there, found this place while researching some info on my M1 Garand that I had just purchased. well, right now I'm currently enlisted in the USAF and have been a weapon enthusiast for some time. I'm here to learn, listen and just talk about what we love, or at least what i love.

I am new to this site. I am 47 year and live in North Kansas City, MO. Been shooting and hunting almost my entire life. Born and raised in a small town in MO. My main portection weapon in H&K USP 45, I also like to shoot my 9MM and I have a few others long guns, shotguns. I would love to find a farm around North Kansas city were I could practice with my hand guns. I am having steel targets made, but am using paper targets now. If any one has farm land and wants to set up a shooting range let me know.

California gun laws

I’ve been into guns for about 5 years now. Anytime i get into a subject, i read into it as much as possible. Hearing both sides of the argument. I’m finding that my views on guns differ from pretty much everyone. I’m very pro-second amendment; I’ve been searching like crazy to find a reasonable cause to ban guns. I have not heard any logical argument. I live in California where we have some of the strictest gun laws in the country. None of them make any sense to me. I’m not a hatful person but when I hear their debate and their reasons it makes me think, are people really this stupid? It agitates the <removed> out of me.
