Hey, new guy here. Decided to join this forum after running across it several times on the net. I've been mainly a member of make/model-specific forums and wanted a good general gun forum to participate in.

Currently I'm in the process of raising funds for a precision rifle build. I'm considering either a .223 (for ammo price and possible coyote hunting purposes) or a .308. Chances are I will be building a Savage 12 or Stevens 200 base.

Intro.

Hi all,
New to the forum and chat boards. Interest are mostly in rifles but also in practical, useful handguns. Have a wie collection of calibres in bolt action but am interested in competition shooting as cash allows. Did serve with the 82nd Airborne from 1994-1998. Currently gathering items to start reloading. Thanks for the chance to join.

Hello all. New to the site and love it!! I have been around guns all my life and enjoy them all!! I used to hunt but with kids didn't have the time. Now that they are all grown up I have some me time back. I live in NJ and it is impossible to get a concealed carry permit. I had one for 10 years when I lived in PA. Boy I can't wait to get out of this state. I look forward to meeting some new friends and learning some new things.

Hi, new member here.
Names Brad I'm from sw mo. Got hooked reading a forum on ffl transfer fees. Currently have a .22 mag bolt action, 12 ga pump, and a sig 556 classic. Looking to get a pair of sub-compact xd 9mm's for my wife and myself (cheaper online that's why I was looking up the fees). I'm a 4 year member of the NRA.

Hey everyone I'm Jake! I'm from Oklahoma. I'm young and I am a gun nut. My favorite hobbies are fishing, shooting, and riding fourwheelers. Decided to join another gun forum. If anyone wants to know more feel free to message me. :)

Hello Highroaders

Im a new member/long time lurker. I build custom rifles and kydex holsters and sheaths. Ive learned a lot from this site and finally decided that its time to give back and share what I can with this community.

I hail from the DFW area.

I recently got back into shooting after an almost 15 year hiatus and am currently in the process of purchasing firearms for a variety of situations.

I too am a long time lurker that finally got around to joining. I'm in Northern Colorado and have been involved with guns most of my life. You're never too old to learn something new so that's what I'm trying to do.

Hello. My name is Phil from Texas and I'm new here

Hello. My name is Phil and I am kind of new on this forum. I am hoping to join this forum to get to know the gun owners & communities likes/dislikes of gun related equipment. I have just started a new business that specializes in gun/tactical accessories and I would like to know what kind of market is out there and what people are looking for when it comes to outfitting their guns and rifles. Again I am new to this forum so by all means call me out or let me know if I am breaking forum rules or etiquette. Thanks for your patience and I look forward to becoming a contributing member to this forum.

Regards
Phil.

Welcome, since joining THR has become my homepage. I never close that tab. My wife always says "are you done talking with your friends yet?" Danger this board gets addictive if you love firearms.

Hello!

My name is Taylor, and I live in gun-friendly North Louisiana. I love shooting and hunting, especially with my family, as well as a passion for bladed weapons and fishing. I am no ''expert'' on firearms but I do know enough to be safe, use them properly, and know general info about most guns. I do however consider myself quite educated as far as defending the RKBA. I love old vintage stuff but modern goodies have their place a well!

about me

i am interested in german long arms pre ww1. i think that it still is possible to purchase an unusual and fine firearm at a fair price.
i think that bad advice and or uninformed opinions are boring, wasteful and perhaps dangerous. i am a college grad and semi retired.

Anti-assult wepon

I have just thought of this. The perfect answer to the antis is "It's not an assult weapon, it's an Anti-assult wapon." But a fave quote of mine is "To debate with someone who is immune to logic is as futile as administration of medicine to the deceased."

Renewing old hobby

Hello to everyone. I am close to retirement and have the time to get back into an old hobby of re-loading. I have a Lyman Tmag II press, RCBS Kit with scales lube kit and a shell vibrator (which I've never used). The area I live in is mainly farmland that is being over run with coyotes. I have been asked on several occasions to go out to different land owners but have had no time. I have called them back have been welcomed to use their land anytime I wish.
I have ordered the new Lyman reloading manual. Mine are outdate. Newest one I have is from 1992. I am about to buy a varmint rifle but haven't made up my mind which calibre (22-250 or 223). I already have dies for 308 and 30-06 which I use for deer. So again hello to all.

New here. Found you mentioned on the USCCA site. USAF vet; Retired County Veteran Service Officer; Very partial to my 1911; Wisconsin Concealed Carry - Certified Instructor. I believe a Right not exercised is a Right lost.

Joe Rollie

Hi everyone, glad to be a member. I am an AF vet, 1968to1972. I am interested in m1 carbines. Inland div. in particular. Thank you.

Hi,

I live in Johannesburg S.A. I currently own a CZ550 30-06 and have more recently acquired a CZ550 6.5X55mm Swede. My interests are reloading, messing about on the range confirming loads and then using these to hunt Springbok, Impala, Kudu .... you get the picture.

I bought the 6.5mm Swede for the reduced recoil as I plan on taking my grandbuddies hunting and this calibre. Due to the longwinded licencing process in this country I will probably only take possession of the 6.5mm in 6 weeks time.

I enjoy reading technical articles on rifles and loading and keep good records on what I do.

FNG

My name is Paul Mauritson and I live in New Mexico and I like weapons and have begun to learn reloading. I am a former Marine and married to a lady that loves shooting also (although she doesn't like to clean her 38 Ruger)
I am somewhat a pain in the keester when asked about political topics because I am pretty much a strict Constitutionalist and won't even consider anyone's view that it can be interpreted to fit the modern times. It is what is and that is all I need.
My friends consider me a "hard*ss" but I'm not arrogant about it and enjoy get-togethers with our neighbors.
I like the desert and dislike snow.
