Hello everybody,
I have been lurking around for a few months and decided to join the forum as I find it remarkable. I am „foreign“, as defined in one of the older forum threads. I shot competitively in my early youth (air rifle). Served in the army, I am licensed to CCW and at present consider handgun shooting my main hobby. One girl, three boys - from 17 to 0,3.

Hi all

Just signed up. Probably won't have much to say but will be reading alot. Long-time 1911 fan and recently bitten by the AR bug. CHL holder (TX) and mainly lean toward defensive use of firearms.

Newbie

Newbie, let's see, I'm a firearms loving girl. I own a few and have shot a very wide variety of others!
Besides firearms, I love horses, and am not what people would call the typical girl! :D

Hi y'all...

My name is Rayford. I life in the deep piney woods of E. Texas. 70 years young. Spent eight years in the USAF one of which was spent in VN in 1966. I'm a father of four boys and two girls all of whom have families of their own. Proud grandfather of 9 grandchidren.

I had a great dream a few nights ago. In the dream, I opened a birthday card from my daughter. The card read, "Happy 80th Birthday, Dad." Wow! I pray that this is a portend of things to come. At least, I feel like I'll live to be even older than that. I feel good in my body.

When I was in the Air Force, I qualified as a Sharpshooter and am proud to still have the certificate hanging on my wall. Small accomplishment that an old man can look back over and be proud of.

The deer season opens up here in a few days. Deer tracks are everywhere. Hog tracks are getting to be more plentiful too. Seeing more and more Coyotes as well as turkey too. These woods are full of wildlife. My 20 acres is completely surrounded by thousands of acres of forest.

My current interest would be in regards to what guns, shotguns or rifles would be good for investments that I can leave to my children and grandchildren after I start feeding skin worms six feet under. If you have any suggestions in regards to what gun would be most likely to increase in value with time.

Happy to be here. Thank you.

Hello, found this forum looking for info on Marlin 39 firing pins. Got the answer right off here and liked the forum, so I joined. I'm 65, retired, live in Duluth Minnesota, and collect interesting guns. I've used rifles all my life and just recently started shooting handguns with my son. I discovered I can't hit the side of a barn from the inside. =o) Seems I'm pulling the gun down and to the left (probably out of fear of the noise). That's a good thing though because now I have a goal... to hit the paper at 25 yards. Good thing I reload. =o/

Hi,
I have lurked this forum since about six months ago when i first deployed to iraq, figured i had lurked long enough i might as well add something to the mix. as my title says im just 19D cavalry scout, recon hooah? i had shot before the army, but nothing serious, just coke cans at my buddys farm and such, i can safely say the army taught me to shoot, pretty sure i have a spot at sniper school when we redeploy to the states so i guess they did a good job. i love all firearms, although i dont own too too many. thats all

This is a very nice site here. Everyone seems pretty freindly and looks like a great place to get answers.

I'm mostly interest in the types of guns some people don't want me to have. I bought an AK-47 right before the ban and used to go target shooting alot and really enjoyed it.

I'm looking to pick up a PS-90 and a Saiga-12 in the near future and probably have a few questions about both.

As for me, I live in El Paso TX and work in Juárez Mexico (yea, that place you heard about on the news).

Hello to everyone here at THR

Hi everybody. I'm Dan in Colorado. I'm very excited to be here. I have come here for answers and advice hundreds of times and thought I should officially join and maybe share some of my experience and advice. I love guns, and all things gun related. I just became a hunter, and have had lots of with it despite not having even fired a shot at anything yet. I am a strong supporter of 2nd amendment rights and concealed carry rights. I enjoy military firearms old and new, and I am an aspiring collector. Plenty of motivation, not quite enough money. I hope to contribute to the forum on a regular basis, and even if some of you disagree with me on certain issues, lets stick together as a group of responsible firearms enthusiasts and not help the extreme anti-gunners cause any more problems with our passion. Thanx, DAN

Howdy, I'm a longtime lurker here, but I just joined to get some questions answered. I'm a native Texan, and an adamant 2nd amendment supporter. I like a lot of european guns, but I really want an R700 in an AICS stock, or a CZ SP-01 Phantom for shooting comp with my buddies.

Hello Everyone

I found you nice folks while searching for info on my favorite topic, Old Colts. I was impressed by the nice responses that folks were receiving for their questions so I signed onboard. In case my wife reads this comment let me state for the record that I do not collect:-0). I just happen to love old colts and winchesters. I was rasied around them and still love shooting them. Thanks for having me on your forum. I look forward to learning and enjoying the gun talk. God Bless our troops, Especially our Snipers.

New here but active in the shooting community since 1973. I collect military weapons, mostly from the 60s-80s and fine shotguns. Retired miitary living in the Ozarks of Missouri.

Hello

Hello there how is everyone? I live in Pennsylvania and I am a gun enthusiast, or at least I try to be. I like everything handguns to shotguns. Have a small collection now but add on to it piece by piece. Looking forward to learning from and contributing to this forum.

Hello THR, I've been on the site for some time and never got around to posting anything :( I can't tell you how many times i've been at the bench and referenced the site from my phone!

A little about me, I am 28 years old from Pittsburgh, PA I work for the cable company and enjoy hunting and fishing but my true passion is shooting and reloading. I am finalizing the incorporation of a small sportsman's product review company which will hopefully pay for my hobby! You guys really have a great group here and I plan to be a "regular" very soon!

Thanks

Hello everyone. My name is Ben Martin, and I am from Kansas City, MO. I had been on this site before under the name bwmartinkc, but it has been a while since I have been around.
