FUDDS, ugh, they're everywhere. Trap and skeet shooters are the worst in my area. Snobs who believe all other shooters are beneath them. I guess that figures when only shotguns are allowed in England for the stuffy old gentlemen to shoot.

It applies to black rifles and handguns. Apparently only wood stocked and gold inlayed long guns are acceptable. They seem to think that the common man shouldn't be armed, only the elite, well educated are responsible enough to be given the responsibility. Oh, I mean the Right.

Have you ever tried to shoot for precision accuracy from the bench with either a .22 rimfire or a benchrest centerfire rifle, working on 1/4" groups at 100 or 150 yards with someone firing an auto rifle near you?

Be thankful they supplied you with a place to shoot called the upper range.

The slow 1 shot at a time precision folks have their sport and right to shoot their also, without someone bothering them. Mayhaps its not the "evil black rifle" but how they are normally shot, no offence to those shooting autos, but thats just how it is.

I mostly shoot from a bench shooting 1 shot every 3 minutes or so. But I would never dream about complaining about the shooter next me firing off a semi-auto. We are gun owners exercising our right. Its miserable people (gun-snobs) like you that are killing the sport. You are pro-gun as long is it applies to your gun.

It is very important to remember that, if we want people to be open and welcoming of us, we have to be courteous and conscientious as well.

It is rude to rain hot brass onto a bench-rest shooter trying to concentrate on his shot.
It is rude to act like a snob because someone else enjoys a different type of firearm, or a different shooting discipline than do you.
It is atrocious to denigrate another shooter because he or she is not just like you.

Being so short-sighted and selfish that we can't make an effort to help other shooter's enjoy their sport is absurd and tragic.
