New S&W Shield Models

I carried a Shield before I carried a P365. I actually think the P365 is almost a hair too small for ideal size for me. I can squeeze my fingers into a full grip on it, but it was a smidge easier on the Shield. The P365XL feels perfect to me, and I suspect the Shield Plus 4" would feel good in the same way. The only other gun that I've had that felt as good as the P365XL was the Kahr K9 to me. That thing just melted into my hand.

I had a K9 once. It was an awesome feeling gun. I have a S&W 3953 with the rubber Hogue grips. Feels a lot like the K9 did to me.

I still have my Gen 1 Shield 9mm ... I really like it .. beat out my G43

I still have my 1.0, too, and a buddy of mine wants to buy it. He has to wait until I've put the Shield+ through her paces before I sell it, though. As soon as I get to the range, I'll post a range report on the Shield+. I know that I'm going to put some night sights on it, and carry it with the 13-round mag, with 2 spare 13-rounders. If the grip texture proves to be too aggressive, I'll either put something over it, or maybe do a little sanding. In any event, I won't do anything irreversible until I'm sure she's a long-term keeper, but I will admit to having high hopes.

I read on another forum that the plus has a reversible mag catch(like M&P) could somebody who purchased one confirm? I tried to read manual online but couldn’t find it.

To me the grip texture is not as aggressive as the 2.0. I lightly sanded the grips on my 2.0. That wasn’t necessary on the Plusses.
