Don't forget reliability. A redditor just posted a review and had 2 failures to go into battery (each with diff ammo, i think remington umc and winchester white box) on the first range trip. Sounds like a not uncommon theme for this pistol so far.

Apparently it comes standard with sig night sights. Hopefully it will run well. My p 290 rs has been flawless but I hear the first run had its issues.

That is some pretty weak stuff but yipes.

I tried one at a demo event today at my LGS/range. Using Sig 115gr ammo, it functioned perfectly fine. The rep from Sig mentioned the gun had been getting almost constant use on the range today. I put 50 through it with no problems. I have medium sized hands, and it felt a little small. The extended mag felt a little nicer. It is a genuinely impressive little gun, 10 rounds in something smaller than a Shield (and 1" thick) is what I think will make it extremely popular. Wish they'd had some to sell today as I'd happily have bought one..and I'm not a huge Sig fan.

Well that’s a good report! It’s actually SMALLER than the Shield??? How high is the bore axis?

How high is the bore axis?
Here is a link to Sig's website for the 365. https://www.sigsauer.com/store/p365-nitron-micro-compact.html As far as I'm aware only one manufacturer publishes that spec in their standard specs. But if you are looking for a really low bore axis pistol you should check out Chiappa's revolvers. Personally that spec has never been a deal breaker for me on any pistol I've purchased. I've shot various models of the unmentioned low bore axis firearm and they do nothing for me.

If I have to nit pick, I don't like the gap under the sights. More apt to catch something. Especially the front sight when pulling it out of the waistband, which is where it would be 99% of the time. Nope, don't want to hear it, I have been chastised enough about it. :)

That said, I can't wait to get my hands on one to get a feel for it.

Looks like the rear sight is square enough to use to rack the slide on a belt or heal of a boot. Minor detail but something lacking on my Shield.

That rail seams an odd choice. I assume Sig is developing a laser/light specifically for this gun and it's proprietary rail. It extends past the trigger guard. Not a typical design.

If it’s really as slim as advertised, this could be a really good alternative to the Shield and Glock 43 sized pistols. Glock 26 capacity in a smaller pistol.

I don't know why P365 would not have the specified dimensions, they are exactly the same as the ones of Kel-Tec P-11, and that gun existed for years (with one exception: P365 is a little longer). Same capacity, even without a tricky magazine. The SCCY CPX-2 is also very close in size to this too. Although Mr. Roebuck decided to make his gun a bit thicker for whatever reason, it's all in the plastic of the grip. So, the P365 is not as novel as SIG wants us to think. The only difference from P-11 is that P365 is striker-fired. Also, it's 25% heavier (500 grams versus 400 grams).

By the way, I thought at first that SIG chose a proprietary rail because Pic rail was too wide. Not so! The Kel-Tec PF-9 has a standard rail and it's narrower than P-11. The P-11 is an older gun and does not have a rail. So, there was no reason why SIG could not put an industry-standard rail on P365.

There! Someone else finally said what I’ve been thinking!

I know, it’s a SIG & it’ll have better fit & finish. It’s striker fired, so it’ll have a “better” trigger. But, gosh, you’d think with all the hype that SIG has invented a COMPLETELY NEW CONCEPT!!

Kel Tec has been making the P11 since 1995, for 23 years. It’s not new, it’s not glamorous, but it still holds the title of lightest, smallest 10 round 9mm. And my backup mag can be 12 to 15 rounds since the S&W 59 series mags fit (& I can buy those for a reasonable price)

Still, I want a P365 too.

I have handled sample today. The gun is very small close in dimensions to Ruger LC9. The price tag said $549.

How about the trigger pull? Light? Heavy" Rough? Smooth?

How do the dimensions compare to glorious pistol of motherland Makarov PM 9mm x 18?

Smaller, lighter, superior trigger, sights,......better gun in every way. Excellent gun for someone with small to medium sized hands.
