New Sig P 365, looks interesting

I wonder of the reliability? Pistolet Makarov is extreme in this regard.

What I handled was a civilian defensive pistol designed for every day carry. Unlike wallet, car keys, cell phone it's an item you will probably never need to use, therefore, it should be small and light. What I'm saying is all this thing has to do is to function 100% through couple of magazines worth. If you want something very durable, reliable and superior to PM in every way there is always option of getting Glock 26.

Are you referring to the Kahr PM? Most likely a Sig would be more reliable and better built. I’ve owned two Sigs and one Khar. No comparison between reliability and construction, Sig wins hands down, same category as my issued (work) Glock.

I’ve gotten away from carrying a Glock double stack off duty simply due to comfort issues with the thickness.

We're comparing two entirely different critters here, a polymer-framed, striker-fired, civilian gun to an all-steel, hammer-fired, gun with military pedigree. They're even chambered in different calibers, and with different magazine capacities.

But, I do agree that the "пистолет Макарова" is an excellent and durable weapon, one I'd never feel under-armed carrying.

Those not having large hands wanting to carry small light handgun with good capacity will appreciate SigSauer 365. Those with larger hands that and those that intend to shoot a lot of practice rounds would probably be better served with G26 or G19 instead. The double stack Glock is better range pistol because "long stick magazines" can be used at the range in states that allow them. One hand on the grip and second on the long magazine body helps getting more steady gun hold.

You are suggesting using a traditional shooting grip with your trigger hand, and then gripping an extended magazine with your other? With a Glock?

I guess I'm a little thick, but I fail to see how that kind of ridiculous shooting grip, or Glocks in general would be relevant to the Sig 365 discussion. If all you wanted to say was people with larger hands may find a larger gun to be a better choice, I get it, but the rest of your post sounds bizarre. Can you post a picture of the shooting grip you are trying to describe?

I am going to have to compare this to my G-42. I wonder if the SIG-365 can be pocket carried? (Darn you, this thread may cost me money!!!)

It's comparable in size to my P938, which I pocket carry often. Unless you're into skinny jeans you should have no problem pocket carrying it.

I enjoy this forum...But I have to say....WHAT does it truly take, to make this bunch of nit pickers HAPPY?

Laser guns that turn invisible when concealed carry is desired but still handle like full sized gun. It can't over penetrate with humans but needs to easily cut a grizzly bear in half. Oh, and unlimited charge so no reloading.

And they shouldn't cost more than $10. The HK model would cost $15.

If it’s really as slim as advertised, this could be a really good alternative to the Shield and Glock 43 sized pistols. Glock 26 capacity in a smaller pistol.

I’m excited but going to wait a while and see how it shakes out.

Just handled one yesterday and ordered 3 of them already.

Waiting to see how fast they come in,planning on packing 2 at a time.

Ankle and belt carry with a " NYC reload ".

LOVE the size and the trigger is about as good as ANY factory I have tried.

After all it is a " Sig ".

And yes,it is VERY flat and you will not believe that it holds 10 rounds in standard mag,and 12 is extended mag.

Seen a negative review and then a reddit review with the same problems: failure to go into battery, failure to lock back on last round, off center primer strikes (related to battery issues)

Hopefully these are just bugs that can be worked out...

2 people I know got 365s last week and both had the issues being described. Both guys took them to the range straight out of the box. After a clean and lube both ran like champs.

What kind of safeties does it have?

I don't see anything built into the trigger and don't see any kind of thumb saftey either.

No safety, therefore, must be carried in holster or quality pocket holster. Nice gun for people small hands. Those with large hands will have to settle for something like a G19. It kind of makes sense those with big feet can't wear small shoes.
