New Springfield XD-M!!

Got an XD-M on lay-a-way.

Don't understand all the discussion about its looks. Looks as good as any other plastic gun - better than most. It's totally subjective.

I liked the ergos & "pointability", trigger pull, 16 round capacity mag, match-grade barrel, extra goodies (holster, mag holders, etc.) it came with, and .40 S&W is my round of choice.

I have had my "M" for about 2 months now. Put about 1000 rounds through it and it has become my favorite pistol. There are many reasons for this, capacity, ease of operation and take down, the "feel", I used to think my $1200 Kimber 1911 was the best thing ever (and it IS nice) but the "M" is just excellent.

Anyone heard the future of this new line? I assume they intend, if popular, to expand it. I will hold off on a new sub-compact if there are plans for an "M" series sub.

The XD-M 9mm is coming out sometime this fall. Seems likely that SA has more in store for the line (.45 anyone?)

Just a guess, but I would assume that SA will probably make the "M" series available in most or all of the XD line that's selling.

(Which seems to be pretty much everything .)

I don't see any reason to run out and swap my XD-9SC, but it's not the worst idea I've heard today, either.

Everyone keeps wishing for a SC. I just don’t think they have any intention of it. It seams to be designed as a full size only. Match grade and all. Not a CCW. I wouldn’t hold m breath for a SC. Don’t think it will happen.
