I have been thinking of getting a new stock for my sks. I was lookimg at the Tapco model with the pistol grip. I was wondering if anybody could comment on them and if they were difficult to install. Thanks

I did a ramline one time. swapping the handguard on the gas tube was a little tricky, and pushing the pin/button in on the back of the triggerguard took some muscle, but other than that it was just drop in. No fitting required. I assume the tapco is pretty much the same.

googling "tapco sks stock instructions" 3 of the top 4 hits are videos showing how to do it.

Tapco for SKS

I put the Tapco T6 on my Romanian. It fits well, only had to file down on the gas tube cover to level it to lock it in place. Really surprised how easy it was.
No pic,s, but I really like the new look.:)

I've shot my friend's SKS with the Tapco stock. Its not bad, although I prefer the ATI with the folding stock.

Like my mom said about cauliflower, "How do you know until you've TRIED it?"
